I honestly don't think I could claim any other book but The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway; Finca Vigia Edition as being my all time-number one favorite.
Right up there with it in the top 5 are: Red Earth and Pouring Rain by Vikram Chandra Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (series) by Douglas Adams High Fidelity by Nick Hornby

I never really got into The Crucible, but that was early high school for me. Great Gatsby is really good though! Have you read any of his short stories? He's written a few good short stories.

I have a really hard time picking a favourite anything, but I love 1984. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is a classic, of course (shut up, it's good.) If I had to pick a favourite graphic novel, I think it would actually be The Ticking by Renee French. It's weird, if you think things like that are weird, but it's good.

I can't say that i've ever read "The Ticking". I might have to look it up sometime.
And LoTR is just awesome, anyone who says differently is trying to sell you something...

yeah, Huxley wrote a great dystopian novel there. it far surpassed F451 as my fav dystopian novel when i read it.
in a way, the Westerfeld Uglies series kind of reminded me of Brave New World...

I've seen the Westerfeld Uglies series around in both libraries and bookstores and while I was working for BAM we sold a ton. I may have to pick one up for read.
