Your Squadron Leader escorts you from the Testing Room and have a round of congratulations on passing the first test walks you out of the Hidden Shadow Academy. As usual for the village when you walk outside it is dark like it's the middle of the night, yet it's still early in the morning. Your leader leads you down the only road in the village that has torches set-up along the way, though you can tell that these lights were just recently installed.
After five minutes of walking you find yourself in front of a large fence that has a large ominous forest behind it. All sorts of inhuman sounds can be heard coming from inside of it and a strange wind that blows through the area chills you to the bone as if some ghostly hand was trying to touch your very soul.
Standing at the Gate entrance is another man dressed the same as G the Inferno and Kaiser, except he is much taller and more muscular.
"I am Black Wind and I am your instructor for the next part of the Exam. This is a test of Team Survival. "
He holds out a tightly wrapped scroll with the Hidden Shadow crest on it.
"Other Survival Exams have pitted Genin against Genin for a Heaven and Earth scroll but in our Exam it is simply a test of Survival. One of these scrolls will be given to each team. Upon opening it your entire team will be teleported to the pre-determined point etched into the scroll. You will have 5 days to return to this gate alive and with all of your teammates. If you do not your Squadron is disqualified from the Exams."
He points to a small hut off to the right of the Gate, "When your team is ready approach that hut and take your Scroll. Be warned this Test is not for the weak of heart or of spirit."

Chuunin Exam Test #2 - Survival in the Cursed Forest Exam#2 Will Over at: 11:59pm, Saturday January 13th
Objectives: Below I will assign a general area that each Genin team will be teleported too. Just to be safe I will list a location for ALL the current Genin teams, even if they weren't iniatially participating but have decided they want too. In the past we have made you guys move through various areas and fight the Crew members but this year we're going to keep it simple.
Each person on the Squad is to post a "Journal" entry of their experiences in the Forest for the five days. You write about how your character felt, what they did, any battles that they had vs things in the forest or another team(if you already have a long Journal Entry keep the battles brief). Or anything that springs to mind. Under each I've also listed what sorts of enemies you will encounter in each area. Some(or all if you choose) of the enemies must be included in your Journal. The stats listed for each "named" Enemy is there for reference in how they stack up against your shinobi, take that into consideration if you add them to the Journal.
Menzeeto, Beat.Me.Clever, Vira, Night Vixen, Skine and Myself will discuss each of the entries in the Crew section and will determine whether you pass or fail based on how well written and interesting it is. As a bonus the best story will probally win something super-yummy so do your best! (PS: Be sure to pass that the Exam is open to all Genin to all your Squad-mates!!)

Chuunin Exam #2 -- Team Assignments
Team #01 Upon taking opening the scroll you are surrounded by a near-blinding flash of light. You find yourself deep within the Haunted Forest. The only hint on the scroll is a drawing of a large spider.
Enemies to Face: Deadly Giant Spiders, Web-Traps, Yura the Spider Queen (See the Major NPCs Databook for more information on her): Yura won't be using her full abilities on orders from the AkuKage. But as you are trepassing in her "territory" she would try to use just enough deadly force to weak you so her spider "children" would get a free meal. Defeating her is fine, but not necissary though she's a predator she is still human and can be appeased or convinced to let you go without a fight. Killing her, however, is bad and would make me cry. So don't do it please crying
Team #02 Upon taking opening the scroll you are surrounded by a near-blinding flash of light. You find yourself deep within the Haunted Forest, the eerie fog is extremely thick here making it easy to get lost. The only hint on the scroll is 5 jagged tears made in the paper.
Enemies to Face: Werewolves, The Foresaken -- Werewolf Leader Intuition: 9, Power: 5, Seal: 0, Speed: 6, Stealth: 2, Ninjutsu: 2, Taijutsu: 6, Genjutsu: 0, Kinjutsu: 0 Attack: 5, Defense: 5
Team #03 Upon taking opening the scroll you are surrounded by a near-blinding flash of light. You find yourself deep within the Haunted Forest, you notice that you were in a foul-smelling swamp. The only hint on the scroll is a diagram of a swamp with 4 large tenticles rising out of the center.
Enemies to Face: Giant Rats, Giant Leeches, The Devoured -- 8 Tenticled Monster Intuition: 6, Power: 6 per tenticle, Seal: 0, Speed: 4, Stealth: 10 when submerged, 0 when it rises to the surface, Ninjutsu: 0, Taijutsu: 0, Genjutsu: 0, Kinjutsu: 0 Attack: 5, Defense: 5
Team #04 Upon taking opening the scroll you are surrounded by a near-blinding flash of light. You find yourself deep within the Haunted Forest, all around you are the boney remains of animals...and humans of various size and shape. The only hint on the scroll is a drawing of a dragon's skull.
Enemies to Face: Animated Skeletons, Giant Carrion Birds of Prey The Harvester -- Missing Nin Intuition: 3, Power: 4, Seal: 6, Speed: 3, Stealth: 7 Ninjutsu: 3, Taijutsu: 2, Genjutsu: 3, Kinjutsu: 6 Attack: 5, Defense: 5 The Harvester is fond of animating the bones of his deceased enemies to do his bidding.
Team #05 Upon taking opening the scroll you are surrounded by a near-blinding flash of light. You find yourself deep within the Haunted Forest. The only hint on the scroll is a drawing of a large bat.
Enemies to Face: Giant Vampire Bats, Zombies Hidden Cloud Team: The team is hostile to you but two of the members are injured, one gravely so. When you find them they are surrounded by a small group of zombies. It is up to your team to decide whether to rescue them and help them, and if you do to simply treat them and leave or escort them back to the gate. Or to leave them and continue with your own mission.
If Your Character Is Not Assigned To A Team: Pick one of the areas from above but your character is just in "another part" of that Forest and didn't run into the Team that it's assigned too. But it's in your best interest that if you run into the "Signature" people that you don't attempt to take them on by yourself as they're meant more for a Team to tackle.

Tyson's Journal for Survival Test
This was it, I’d been waiting for this moment since I first stepped foot in the sound to meet my new sensei. I had been inching toward this slowly since then. The chuunin exams, were here and team four had made it through to test two. As I sat thinking about the past, I looked around at the surroundings taking in notes and features, there were bones everywhere. It was crazy, they send us to a graveyard and expect us to find our way back, only giving us an image of a dragon skull as a clue. I roll up the scroll and toss it over to Sorensuke, figuring he can handle it. What really put us at a disadvantage was the lack of a sensei’s guiding words and our once tactics-based teammate.
I pick at some moss and look in the direction that seemed to be north, this talent I had for surviving tough situations would definitely come in handy if I could remember everything I was taught. I looked at Aca who was sitting at my feet, like the loyal ally he had been from the start, then to Sorensuke my other ally for this test.
Sighing I speak what’s on my mind, “Looks like it’s just us for five days, in this bone yard. Anguna would’ve already had a brilliant plan, so I guess that’s the first thing on the agenda. Alright, judging by the surroundings, the clue is about the main enemy of the area. So we’ll have to watch out for them. They’re probably talented at raising the dead or at least animating the bones, looks like they’ve got plenty of materials to do so.”
“Bones should be easy to break shouldn’t they?”Sorensuke asked taking the ninja-to from his back and twirling it a bit in boredom.
“I’m not sure, might depend on how well they’re put together. In any case, we’re wasting time let’s get going.” I said heading in the direction I figured we’d have to go. Taking mental inventory of the supplies available to us. It wasn’t too eventful a day, since it soon ended and I volunteered to take first night’s watch.
Second Day
The next morning we started out again kicking bones out of the way as we went. I looked at the sky noticing some strangely big birds, following us. They started to descend and then landed, they were big enough to match the height of a twelve year old. “Looks like we’re in for a fight.” I muttered as I drew my sword leaving the wakizashi in its scabbard. Sorensuke brought out his ninja-to and the fight started. There were three of them, I went after the left, he went after the right leaving a transformed Aca to take out the center one, a little bit later we had beat them.
Third Day
We ran low on food today, so I found some berries to hold us over till I could hunt another one of those birds. I got the bird easily, but felt like I was being watched the whole time. I brought the bird back to our makeshift camp. Sorensuke lit a fire the old fashioned way and we cooked the bird. After eating all we wanted I wrapped the left overs in large leaves, it should be enough to get us through till the last day. We set off again and soon saw a boneless part of the forest, we were getting close to the exit now. I can’t shake the feeling that we’re being watched.
Fourth Day
One day left after today. We started with five days and according to my count today was the fourth day. We walked a bit further now in the part of the forest that seemed normal, except we could never seem to fully leave behind those bones. It’s like they were following us, wait now that I think about they are following us. Now they’re forming into shape. Some are animals and some are human . . . the skeletons are here so the master must not be too far away.
“Let’s finish this quick, it’s day four.” Sorensuke said as he cracked his knuckles.
“My sentiments exactly,” I say as I prepare to attack.
Sorensuke was surprisingly in sync with my plan for this battle, he seemed to without word be able to copy every move I made, exactly as I had hoped. We were soon surrounded by the bones of shattered corpses. Too bad it didn’t stay that way, they soon reformed and attacked again. Two by two they went down again. Each round seemed to weaken the bones, which meant it was only a matter of time before the bones turned to dust. They did at about sundown, we were hurt they were dust that counts as a win for us, now if we can avoid the leader long enough to get out we’ll be fine . . . I think.
“This isn’t good Tyson, we’re injured and only have tomorrow to get out of here. We’re not going to make it.”Sorensuke said breathing deeply.
“We’ll make it, “I replied as I looked around for some medical herbs. Finding some I quickly crushed them up into a salve, testing it on my wounds first. It seemed to help a lot so I handed some to Sorensuke and used a bit on Aca, who had got caught by one of the skeletons.
Meanwhile, elsewhere someone talked to their self about the recent battle we had just fought, even concentrating I could barely hear it.
“Eh, Sorensuke. We’re not stopping tonight, we’re going to keep going it’ll get us there quicker.”
“Oh, alright.”He said as he unwrapped one of the leftover packs.
I split mine with Aca leaving us two for tomorrow. We kept walking all the while I could just make out the breathing of someone following us. If we kept moving they shouldn’t be able to mount an overly big offense.
Fifth Day
The sunrise came and I could see the tip of the gate on the horizon. “That’s it we just have to get there.”
“Looks like we’ll make it after all”Sorensuke said happily. “Yea, we’re gonna make it. It’s right there,” I said sighing.
It wasn’t long until it was only thirty feet away. It’s like the one raising the skeletons had pushed us toward the gate. But whatever he had done we were at the gate. As Sorensuke and I passed through the gate we were ushered off to a nearby bench to sit down. Aca soon found us and sat at my feet.

Memoirs of Shade Ender, Medical Shinobi Extrodinaire
Day One of Survival Test: Relatively uneventful in terms of actual fighting today. However, after that strange teleportation we all felt a little sick. I'm not sure if he thought of it himself, or whether he was just wandering, but Kujikeru climbed a nearby tree. I decided to follow to scout the area. We climbed back down roughly 20 minutes later. Iruko Uchiha was missing. There are no tracks.
It's very odd. Mysterious, even. We believe it may have something to do with the odd shape we saw flying through the sky. It rose up from under us and we were nearly swept off of the tree. Frog-boy's idea is to find it, as we may very well find her. So, we're setting off. I shall write about this later.
We found it. This is not pretty. It seems to be a large amount of...well, large bats. We heard her scream a while ago; Kujikeru fears the worst. I see this as an opportunity. It's getting dark so we're going to hide and wait for morning. Let's hope we at least find SOMETHING. Oh yes, I suppose I should mention this to myself that we're still in the forest, outside a rather large cavern. Roughly 20 feet high. The opening is maybe about seven feet wide? We've seen a few of the creatures fly in. They're massive. I feel a small sense of fear.
Day two of Survival Test: Frog boy tried to actually fly on one of those monsters. It probably would've worked too, if his chains hadn't ripped the thing's head off. He didn't even seem to even NOTICE that though. We ran into the cave. I heard a scream, and I guess I must've lost it. I recall rushing in at them with my umbrella. Managed to block most of their attacks with it, but I could only really seem to hurt them with my scalpels.
It was risky, as I had to let them get in really close. Kujikeru wasn't really much of a help at first, until I saved his a** from one of them. I through one of my scalpels, got it right through the eye. Must've hit the brain, spattered blood all over Kujikeru. After that, it was....it was just a whirlwind of blood. If I had to guess, I'd say he's been sent straight from hell to redeem me from my sins. I was stunned to say the least. Iruko sprung herself loose and killed a few before we started running. I grabbed Kujikeru and ran, Iruko with us.
Twice today I've saved him. I couldn't help but stare at him afterwards. Those chains, wasted on such a feeble mind. If he could only focus and harness those things for their true power, he would be a demon on the battlefield.
I want them.
Day Three of Survival Test: She lost our scroll. The Hidden Cloud team we've come upon and pursued has one. The fact that they're injured seems far too convient to me.
Iruko wants to talk to them. I see no point. It would be easier on us all if we just went in there and killed them, thereby eliminating the need for me to actually have to waste my precious time and effort to heal their sorry asses.
We've eaten nothing, and I've not slept. It seems that neither has Iruko. We were watching them when they stumbled off; about another thirty metres. They settled down pretty quickly and got a fire going. Even from our hiding/vantage point I can smell the food; freshly cooked salmon. God I'm so hungry.
We put Froggy on lookout. I tried to sleep, but it doesn't work. Danger lurks all around us, and I think I'm the only one who seems to truely notice it. Iruko has been staring at me since we settled down here. A few minutes ago she called me her "Angel of Mercy", whatever the hell that means. Her eyes are ********, I need some sleep.
Day Four of Survival Test: I awoke in the morning to screaming...and crying. Strange, I don't remember falling asleep. But, there I was...On the ground behind a bush, Iruko kneeling on my chest staring through the bushes. I knew Kujikeru was kneeling near my head, I could feel his leg brush against my hair...
She was crying, and at first I didn't know why...and I couldn't get up because she was on me. I did manage to just lift my arm and seperate some of the bushes to take a look and...I couldn't believe it. The Cloud was fighting what seemed to be corpses; but they were animated corpses. Zombies, the Forsaken, the Undead, the Living Dead...whatever way you want to say it, that's what they are. I'm actually used to them, considering where I'm from.
They consumed the flesh of the Cloud nins, tearing their bodies to shreds. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them again Iruko and Kujikeru were gone. I stood and casually walked to the battle. By the time I had gotten to my teammates, Kujikeru had ripped them to peices. Iruko was crying over the lifeless corpse of a Cloud nin.
At least I thought it was lifeless. As a doctor I should recognize when someone has a little life yet, but I didn't. Blame sleep deprivation, or just plain exhaustion...He was alive, though torn in half he was very much alive. Well, for about four more seconds...He set off an explosive note. The blast must've sent me at least five metres back. The ringing in my ears just wouldn't stop as I sat up. After that I reacted as quickly as possible, or so it seemed that way. Kujikeru seemed to be moving at near-lightspeed in my eyes at this point.
His chains shot upwards into the trees, and I didn't really know what he was doing...until I saw her body being brought down. She had gone straight up into the air...
Day Five of the Survival Test: I'm not sure how I should feel right now. It's early morning. I don't remember sleeping. I remember writing a bit, and then just blacking out.
We buried her when we got up. I didn't notice this until Froggy pointed it out, but I had been sitting for at least five hours against a tree holding her body. Had I tried to save her? Had it worked at all? Was this all simply meaningless bullshit, or did this excercise--No, this existance--have everything to do with our lives?
I don't know. I fail at being an Angel of Mercy. I'm more suited as an Angel of Death. We took her personal belongings; I intend to send them to her family, at least what's left of them.
My ankle seems to be twisted. I tried to heal it, but I can't seem to fix it just right. So I limped, and Froggy walked. And we continued this sad excercise until dusk when we found the gate. A few people seemed to be walking out ahead of us. I felt a sense of sadness seeing that gate. No, not sadness...just numb. Completely and utterly numb. I did my best to limp as quickly as possible out of the Gate of Hell. We had picked our scroll off of a dead Cloud nin. Lucky us.
It wasn't just Iruko that died in there...We all died just a little. Ever since she passed Froggy's been able to actually focus on the task at hand. I wonder what's changed about me?

Akira Hamono: As the petals swayed
Day One:
I found it strange that the instructors chuckled before handing us our scroll the moment we opened the scroll I was almost blinded by a flash of light. I looked around until forced to accept that would be just the baka and I were all alone inside the forest. Which in retrospect would have been a much better situation. We weren't too freaked out by the turn of events, as Mia-sama had taken us on a mission which prepared us for such a task. We stayed close to one another as we prepared our camp site. Setting up camp was uneventful for the most part, but a few times the baka swore that he saw a spider take our firewood. Let's be serious a spider! My first thought was that he went delirious which led to our separation that day. I went to go see if I could find some herbs for us, just in case the "big bad spiders" attacked. He went the other way searching for food. I was suprised to find some useful herbs in those woods, they wouldn't bring anyone out of a comma or anything like that but they were good for what we planned on using them for. When I returned to the campsite I found the baka sitting on a log without a sign of food anywhere on him. He did have a grand fairy tale about he outran and eventually escaped some spiders and claimed that's where the new scar on his left cheek came from. Of course like any other rational person I put it behind me and told him to take the first two hour watch tonight since he didn't bring back any food.
Day Two:
I had the last watch of the night, and therefore it was my duty to wake the baka up at the first sign of morning light. This time we both went to look for some food. If we didn't find any food we knew that we would be drained of all our energy by the time of the third test. Or if we were unlucky before then. It was quite an uneventful walk through the forest for the first couple minutes, until the baka kept throwing sticks on top of my head and claiming it wasn't him. I was going to smack him one in the face but as soon as I pulled my arm back to strike him in between the eyes, another stick landed on my head. We both loked up and stood with our mouths opened in a strange mixture of shock and fear. There it was on the branch above us a giant spider drooling down with the hungry lust of a predator stalking its prey. As if on instict the two of us began running for our lives, we didn't have a direction in particular to fall back to, but we knew our target would be as far away as we could be from that spider. The baka was bragging during our flight, yea bragging, that he was right and I was wrong! I turned to him to him and replied, "Yeah, I'm sure everybody will be so proud of you when they have to burry our bodies now shut up and run from the freaky spider and look now it's jumping we're running from a freaky giant jumping death machine oh how lovely." Which he took with great delight and made some witty reply that I just wrote off as stupidity. A couple hours later we ended up back at our campsite which was only about thirty minutes from where we ran from the spider. Suffice to say night watch became a team job as of that night, not that we would have gotten a chance to sleep as the next day things got rough.
Day Three:
The bak Zanzu and I had destroyed our camp site pretty early in the morning about the time I was accustomed to I think they call it noon. We then abandoned the mess of sticks that could once be considered a source of warmth or shelter depending on the pile and proceeded South. Other than the occassional glare, which I swear somehow found a way to make a sound, it was a quiet thread we knew if we were quiet enough the spiders couldn't possibly find us. Every step we took we made sure to double check if anything was behind us. Suddenly I heard Zanzu scream as he dissapeared. He would later tell me he was pulled up by a thread. It was understandable that I didn't start searching for him right away, because now was the moment I noticed ithat I had a thin piece of thread on my leg. The thread stretched far past what the eye could see, so I knew whatever put it there was tracking me maybe even toying with me. I cut the the thread with a sharp stick and proceeded to haul a** from the immediate area. As I ran dodging stationary trees left adn right, you see in my realization that I was being chased for some reason I believed the trees were out to get me apparently. That's when I saw a strange yet seductive glow in the shape of eyes coming from the direction I was running; my body suddenly froze as it felt I lost control of my motor senses. I saw a woman emerge from where I saw the eyes licking her lips and exposing two fangs as she did so. Out of nowhere I felt a thud as Zanzu crashed into me from the side and told me to run. Of course I complied shaking off the feeling that we were being followed. Pulling out the few herbs we were able to keep with us I prepared to treat Zanzu who had received some minor cuts earlier when we split apart but then TWAP! everything went black as something knocked me out cold.
Day Four:
The events of this day are kinda blurry. I remember running for a while I even think I heard something about going on a diet from some hard to hear voice that felt nearby. Then nothing, I was out again. When I awoke I saw her, the strange woman from before looming over an unconscious Zanzu I don't know what had occured between the two of them but he was obviously injured and tired. I saw him clutch his chest before eventually going out cold.
"I see so the second snack awakens. For now you can be my new plaything as you can tell your friend has gotten tired of playing and I still need entertainment...or I could kill him." Without a second thought I charged at the woman who threatened to kill the baka, I wasn't going to watch him die again I didn't care how strong she could possibly be hell she could be some goddess of death for all I cared, I just knew she was an obstacle that I had to get around. She immediatly overpowered me when I attempted to use Konoha Senpū to knock her into the air, by catching my foot with one hand and tossing me up. There was a flash of thunder and I saw that we were surrounded by some of her pets or children or whatever these spiders were looking up hungrily. When I landed I began to twitch as I felt something cracked my ribs...heh it was her knee I don't know why I found that entertaining perhaps I liked the angle I was stuck in looking up at the strange woman or perhaps I lost my mind and for some reason gained a masochist complex by traveling in this stupid forest. When I fell back next to Zanzu holding my chest, I began to panic knowing this woman with unatural strenght was going to kill me. I looked over at Zanzu and immediatly reached into his left holster I may not always get along with him, but I knew where kept his explosive notes. I grabbed a pile of sticks as the woman got nearer and threw it with one of Zanzu's senbon in the center straight in the air. She just laughed and mentioned how I missed and that she won't or something along those lines. But what she didn't notice was that inside the stick ball was the explosive note which exploded as she picked me up with her fangs exposed. Her spiders scurried as the pieces of the ball spread out and formed a fiery circle around us. She smirked and I fairly remember what she said, "You Konoha genins are the most interesting prey, while I would enjoy playing I am under orders not to kill you, but I wasn't told I couldn't tenderize you two for a little." The crazy woman pulled out a neddle and began stabbing my shoulder most likely to spread the blood around my shoulder, before biting me as my vision slowly began to fade I saw her smile with sick enjoyment of the situation. "Of course I'm not under orders not to kill you after the test ends so enjoy the next 72 hours as best you can." She tossed me next to Zanzu and kicked me in the stomach once more which did the trick and knocked me out cold leaving us for dead in the ring of fire I assumed, even though Zanzu later stated when he woke up there wasn't any fire and we were actually a little farther from where we were knocked out cold.
Day Five:
I had a wonderful dream there were petal blossoms everywhere and I was holding father's ninja-to the Sakura blade. After taking a few steps I saw a spring in the middle of nowhere. I saw my reflection in the spring before I came accross his grave. Robune Hamono. "b*****d, burn in hell!" Angrily I stabbed the ninja-to through the water into the grave as wind released from the blade cutting grave into pieces, the petals around me, and even cutting my hand which dripped blood into the water. NOT YET! A deep voice blasted in my head waking me up. My new surroundings confused me, it appeared to be a hospital with medical nin surrounding me and they informed me that Zanzu was in the room accross. I noticed a petal falling out of my jacket to which I exclaimed, "I always hated flowers, the only thing that can compare to my hate for flowers is my hate for spiders."

Uchimi Zanzu: The source of my Aracnaphobia...
((Sorry for the small book here Aria, i tried to keep it as short as i could without cutting out too many of my ideas i had thought of while typing this up >.<))
Day One:
I stood next to Akira as he grabbed onto the scroll and couldn't help but feel a chill run down my spine at the instructors laugh. I knew it couldn’t be good for us with such an ominously laugh given with the scroll, we probably weren't the luckiest of people in our draw and were going to have a tough time. As Akira opened up the scroll i flinched and clenched my eyes shut by instinct from a bright flash if light then stumbled back and opened my eyes to see we were within a woods not too different from the area we practiced with Mia-sensei in. Lured into a false sense of security i muttered to myself, "man...i was hoping for a challenge, should be a piece of cake." We kept close, putting up our camp site bit by bit which went fairly well except i could have sworn i saw a spider running off with some of our firewood on more then one account. When i tried to tell Akira of what i saw he just blew me off like i was crazy. After camp was finished we began to look off for some herbs but when my stomach started rumbling i left Akira and began searching for something to eat, with any luck i would find a boar to catch again. After about fifteen or so minutes of walking away i heard a branch snap and turned quickly with a senbon ready in hopes of some food. To my despair there wasn't anything in particular i would eat there...just an rather large spider which didn't look too happy with me being here. I snapped my wrist flinging the senbon at it but it leaped into the air at an amazing speed, almost hit me but luckily enough i stumbled on a root which was protruding from the ground and fell to my back just in time. I quickly jumped up and began running for my life, the spider didn’t look particularly strong but i couldn't think of a reason those large fangs were just for show and decided to take it on the safe side. I looked behind me to see the spider closing in and quickly began to weave in and out of a thick patch of trees hoping to lose it. After a short moment i found myself with a thick patch of bushes in front of me but wasn't inclined to stop so i charged through them tripping and sliding into a part of dirt, hitting my head on a log was what brought me to a stop...gave me quite a large and painful bump. I looked around panting for air and realized i was in camp with no trace of the spider so i grabbed another senbon and sat down on the log keeping watch for the spiders to make sure they didn’t come back. Not too long afterwards Akira returned but like before when i tried to tell him about what happened he just blew me off and asked where i got the cut on my cheek from, i hadn’t even noticed in the escape so i just figured i got it from a branch hitting me in the face. Akira then laughed it off with his naturally cocky attitude and told me i was to take the first watch tonight while he slept since i failed in bringing back some food. Luckily enough everything after that went without any downsides.
Day Two:
Akira woke me at the rise of the sun. It was still pretty dark outside so we sat around for a little while and poked at the fire. After a little while we both agreed that if we don’t get food soon we’re going to start losing strength so we set out on a hunt. The first few minutes went well but then Akira started to make crazy accusations of me hitting him with sticks. He kept on and on for about it for a couple of minutes without accepting my denials of it being me. He raised his arm clearly about to hit me and then I saw a stick drop from above him which bounced off of his head and landed between the both of us. We both looked at the stick, looked at each other with a pause, looked back at the stick, then slowly looked up to see something which we would regret looking up for. Above us was a freakishly large spider, front legs extended out towards us, eyes glaring at its would-be prey, and such large beautifully white fangs that it would like to pierce our flesh with. Without a moments hesitation our flee began, we didn’t even think of where we would run too, we just rushed for our lives trying not to trip or hit a tree. I couldn’t help but laugh at him and rub it in that there really was a gigantic spider but he was obviously too afraid to chat when he made a wonderful comment about the spider. I brushed it off replying, “Yeah…are you sure its not just our imagination or a gigantic fairy tale…maybe you would like to stop and play with our imaginary friend? I’m sure he would like a big hug!” We ran around for hours until we finally walked back into the camp which couldn’t have been far away from where we started. Neither of us got a blink of sleep that night as we kept watch for the spiders, it wasn't too big of a deal for me though since im used to staying up for long periods of time.
Day Three:
Before the sun even finished rising we destroyed the camp site deciding it would be best to move since the spiders already knew where we were. After the camp was completely trashed we left it heading south. We kept on our guard the entire time, not making so much as the slightest sound and constantly checking to make sure we weren’t being followed, though I kept giving Akira glares of triumph at his complete failure to be right about the spiders not existing. Suddenly I yelped in fear as my feet left the ground, being jerking up by shoulder and pulled up into a tree. I looked up to see the giant spider dragging me up by a small strand of thread which I could barely notice. I grabbed onto a senbon and used the tip to slice the thread of spider web and kicked off of the tree looking around for Akira as I approached the ground. Akira no where in sight I assumed he panicked and fled for his own life leaving me behind to be eaten so I too began to sprint away not waiting for the spider to come after me. I ignored the twinges of pain from branches hitting me all over, leaving various cuts and bruises amongst my body. As I continued to run through the woods I saw Akira in front of me, looking to my side at a person who I could see well enough to know who it was. He just sat there though, looking terrified as if his very life were being drained from his body, so without a moments hesitation I sprinted forward and leaped through the shrubs blocking my path, crashing down on Akira. “Come on fool lets get the hell out of here!” I said and dragged him to his feet as I continued to flee from the spider who I was afraid still might be following me. After we were sure we had escaped we paused for a moment so that Akira could treat my wounds with the herbs he had collected while I was out hunting the first day. Out of nowhere I caught a glimpse of a giant tree branch bashing Akira over the back of his head, causing him to pass out cold, then the branch immediately came towards me. I swiftly dodged the attack and rolled backwards to my feet in a crouched position, senbon already drawn.
“kekeke…be a good little boy and sit still so I can knock you out. Wouldn’t want you hurting one of my children as they devoured you now would I? Besides it would be less painf-“
I cut of the arrogant b*****d and pierced a senbon into her foot causing her to release a wretched scream in agony, then I grabbed Akira and with a burst of incredible speed took off. He was heavy but I managed to keep running with him on my back for a few hours until I was sure I had lost any would be pursuers. I hadn’t even noticed but as I laid there on my back the realization of it being night struck me, drained of all my energy I passed out staring up at the night sky through the clusters of branches covered in leaves.
Day Four:
I hadn't slept long before i sprung up from my slumber, a terrible nightmare of spiders tearing me to pieces was what ended up waking me. The moon hadn't moved far from where it was but the sun had already started rising bringin a small bit of light to the ground, a bit of a sparkle glinting off of my pants leg. I blinked a few times as i looked at it and thought to myself, you've got to be shitting me...another thread of web...they...they're still following me? son of a! i quickly took a kunai from Akiras pouch sure he wasn't anywhere ready to wake back up after such a severe blow to his head which i barely had time to treat with a few of the herbs left over from me stabilizing his bleeding, and cut the thread of web off of my leg. I then quickly stood up flinching from the pain of my sore body and heaved Akira over ontop of me. He really was heavy for his height, i made a mental note to tell the punk to go on a diet so he could get rid of a little of that pudge from slacking off all the time. Without a moments delay he began sprinting off through the woods again. He would follow the beaten path sure it would get him to the gate quicker but he feared an ambush waited on it, and would rather take the somewhat safer route. He kept pushing his body onward as it gave dissaprovals of the running through severe pains in his legs. He could only manage to cover another few hours worth of ground before he collapsed onto his face, panting heavily as he was completely exhausted. It was only noon. He still had atleast a day, maybe less if he was lucky, to get to the gate despite the spiders and crazy woman stalking him. He laid on the ground till it began getting dark, thankful for the rest he was finally able to recieve when he heard it.
"You know...that really hurt little boy, and it was very rude to cut me off like that."
She was back...and seemed to be a bit angry with me over our last meeting, i attempted to get up but collapsed to the ground, my body rebelling against me.
"Good. No fight left in you...you'll be a good meal for my children after they've chased you so hard, I wasn't going to kill you on orders of the Akukage but i think you diserve to be punished for stabing me after i've let you stay in my territory for so long."
She giggled to herself as two giant spiders came out from the woods, fangs ready to pierce my flesh. I once again tried to get up but collapsed to the ground, my body still refusing to cooperate from its previous abuse.
"You can't kill me. My demon...it will come out and kill you all, would you really want to bring harm to your," i paused for a moment, the thought of those spiders being her children being quite unpleasent to me and interrupting my thought as i tried to create an excuse for her to let us go, "Children..."
She paused and looked at me for a moment, unsure of whether to believe my story or not. "Jinchuuriki...how unfortunate, but dont think ill let you go unpunished, i'll just take your young friend's life instead as compensation."
"NO!" i shouted as she came at us, her fangs clearly visible through her ominous grin. "I'll protect him with my life if i have to!" Even though me and Akira have our differences i wasn't about to let her kill him, he was my friend and we had been through so much together. He was the only other genin left on my team and i wasn't going to fail in protecting him.
"Heh...troublesome...fine then I'll just give you a gift and leave you to enjoy your final days from a safe distance." She came closer to me and fear filled me as i looked into her eyes. It was as if they pierced my soul and installed fear directly into it, my entire body frozen and terrified at the site. I could feel her fangs slowly pierce into my shoulder, a warmth feeling it as her poison infected my blood. "Enjoy young one...if your lucky my spiders won't eat you before you die." She then left and i once again passed out looking up into the night sky with a throbbing body and pulsing shoulder where her teeth once were.
Day Five:
Just before the sun rose i woke up, my body feeling slightly better after a nights rest but my shoulder still pulsing painfully, slightly more then before. The poison was beginning to take its effect on me. I rolled over and slowly pushed myself to my feet, grabbing onto Akira's arm and reluctently pulling him up, throwing his arm over my shoulder. I began to walk on with an uneventful day, nothing occured other then my constant flinching at every little sound, afraid of a spider jumping out at me. By noon i could see a clearing up ahead of me. As i stepped into it i saw the gate before me, open and awaiting the genin teams to come out from it. I stumbled up and walked through the gate thinking to myself, "Heh...just like i said...piece of cake." The proctors of the exam quickly rushed up to me asking what happened. I informed them how Akira took a heavy blow over the back of the head and had been out cold since, and how some crazy woman with spiders for kids bit my shoulder. They looked at each other grimly and asked how long ago i was bitten, a look of relief sprung from their faces as i informed them it was just last night, bringing me a bit of comfort. They then immediately called some medical ninja over and began treating us both.

Kujikeru's Thoughts; Unsensical as Usual
DAY 1
...where in hell's name in Iruko? I mean, we just left her there, then poof, no more Iruko. Wierd.Shade says he saw some shadows, but I didn't really care. Some sorta wierd mapley-loking tree was wilting, and the leaves were huge. Not, like, banana-leaf huge, but about the size of your hand. For a moment I wondered how they tasted, but decided their red color was too rich for me.
Shade told me to follow him. Maybe he was more aware of the shadows or something. He ran through the thicket like grease on a skillet, tracking what, I don't know. I did see some more red leaves, but not nearly so proficiently colored. The farther we got, the more red leaves I saw. Well, okay, so it was obviously blood, but this was far too old to be Iruko's.
I had it! A cave! And look, there was one now! But Shade had seen it first, as he grabbed me and pulled me back. A few bats flew out, and we looked in. It was like some sort of congregation of little yellow eyes. Not much to do at this point, considering we were outnumbered, unless each of us could take a few hundred. Shade said rest and wait for tomorrow to strike, hoping that they'd leave. I didn't sleep a wink.
DAY 2
The bats came out last night. They were...kinda big. Not big enough to ride on...not that I tried, or anything... Anyways, we'd thought most of them had flown away, considering a few hundred flew out. We were wrong. A number of them stayed, guarding their nice'n savory blood-filled Iruko. Not that I find Iruko 'savory' or anything, not to say she isn't ugly, but then again, she's not much of a looker, but definitely easy on the eyes... Anywho, apparently, the bats are smarter than we are.
Shade jumped into action and quickly started combat. I hadn't felt any rain coming in, so I didn't really want to get any blood on me. Well too bad for me, I suppose! Apparently they thought Shade was too strong, and figured 'why not pick on that poor defenseless gangly kid!' Of which, how do bats think? Are they, like, the Borg or something, or maybe they're really super intelligent, or maybe they're just drones serving some sorta queen bat.
I should think less. They got right next to me before Shade nailed one through its head. Not pretty. Well I figured now that I had a nice stain on my uniform, may as well kill them. Let me tell you, scratching them only pissed them off more. Seriously, they were cheezed off. I hate to skewer things with my chains. I mean, the gore just slides right off. It's just that when something gets caught in the blade, then when it comes back, a nice lil' shield of Chakra burns it off to keep it clean. That thing tingles like mad!
Much to my chagrin (where have I heard that word before? ...), no queen bat, just a nice screech outside of a few hundred giant-a** bats coming to eat us. Or is it just suck out our blood? Oh god, maybe one will get caught in my hair! Maybe this is a sign that I should comb my hair...but then it poofs out like I was going for an afro or something. Naw, s'easier just to wear a hat when my hair dries off.
In the middle of these thoughts, Iruko had taken out the last few bats, and Shade was dragging me through over the rocks. Those things hurt! We dove into the brush and consealed ourselves as fast as we could. I looked over at the other two; Iruko looked like she had just had a gun shot off next to her ear, and Shade was staring at me. It was his usual, funny-looking stare, that he only seems to stare at me with. I think it's either 'Stay shut up', or 'I'm going to f'ing kill you'. I haven't decided yet.
Well before I knew it, I had wondered the day away. And no clouds or rain to look at while I do? Man, this place sucks.
Day 3
I could't sleep. I was up all night, thinking about getting to the other gate and hoping they'd have waffles...god, I really wanted some waffles. Drapped in syrup with some grape juice. But it's a good thing I was awake, becauseI saw another team! Cloud or something like that. I was half way to starving, and they have the nerve to start cooking!
Well, it was only fish, and I hate fish, so it actually kinda helped. Made me want to resist food more. I also need to learnhow to say 'no'. I've been up since the bat incident, and here I let them put me on guard duty. I dunno, Iruko was looking at Shade funny. Not like Shade looks at me, with some sort of killing intent, but kinda...wierd.
Day 4
Holy s**t! Sorry, but zombies. ZOMBIES?! No, no, no! I didn't sign up for this job for zombies! Undead, redead, dead! The dead are dead! Maybe they're just some sort of plant or seomthing. In any case, Shade's hair was a much more welcoming sight then the Cloud Nin being torn apart. Shade went back to sleep. That's my job, dammit!
Me and Iruko jumped out into the fray, surprising a few of them and taking a few out. We took action too late before the Cloud Nin had been killed, but we tore through them. Come to think of it, I like zombies! No blood or anything, just...goo. Plus without a head, they go down easy. Shade did wake up just as Iruko was mourning over one of the Cloud Nin.
Suddenly his eyes shot over, and so did mine. An explosion from over near the dead Cloud Nin, and I shot one of my chains up, but Shade was already up there, catching Iruko.
Day 5
We took her things to give to her family and left her after burrying her. Neither of us spoke a word between the gate and there. Shade looked like he was on the verge of nreaking down, which surprised me. I decided, for once, not to bug him.
As we reached the gate, I had to say something; something I didn't want to divulge; My name really wasn't Kujikeru. It was Kitsurabane. I told him that it wasn't some random man who attached these chains on me, but my own father. He originally did it to keep me chained to a wall, away from anyone, like I was inhuman. One day, I decided to break free when I had seen a glimpse of light.
Well, this hadn't gone over well with my father, who got a chain that was supposed to let me roam around into his face. I ran away. I had no idea who my mother was, or why my father hated me. But after a while, I realized my surname meant 'living'. But I was broken...so I decided I'd be 'Broken but Still Alive'; Seizen Kujikeru. After this, I finally took my nap.

As your team makes it way to the gate on the 5th day you notice it is around midday. Though midday for the Country of Shadows is probally dusk for any other Country, however, you notice that the teams that returned are FAR fewer than the ones that entered.
Black Wind walks between all the remaining Genin and randomly points at the remaining Genin.
You lacked the heart of a true shinobi.
You relied too much on your team.
You let your own pride endanger your teammates.
You... are just weak.
Each of these Genin from the remaining Genin he fails until only a small handful remain.
For the Genin that remain: You have twelve hours to report to the fighting arena for the final test of the Chuunin Exams. Dismissed
~~On the boarder of the Onigashima~~ "So this is the Hidden Shadow country.... are you sure you don't want to stay and watch the carnage master?" A young woman asked.
"I'd love too but the boss already sent us on another Jinchuuriki assignment. Just remember to capture the Biju and read what's on the scroll Anasia." The white-haired man says.
"And then I get to watch the pretty Country burn with this, yes?" Anasia asks while playing with a small pendant around her neck.
"Hell yeah!" The white haired man says but before he can continue another voice from behind him says.
"Hidan, it's time to go."
"Alright alright Kazuku, Cancel!" The illusion of the white haired man disappears leaving the lone pale-skinned woman on the hill.
((I'd like to say thanks to all the people that participated in the Chuunin Exams this year! As a reward everyone that participated may pick two Techinques or 2 Jinchuuriki Techniques(or a combination) or a Bloodline Limit level to add to their Genin that participated.
A big congratulations goes out to the only person who passed the Final Exam: Shade Ender of the Hidden Shadow played by Night Vixen! every examiner gave him a Pass rating. Unfortunately he was the only one that passed but another Exam will happen around April or May so train hard!!))
