For thousands of years, forcer comming from the beings heart has been and still is being called Chi. Chi builds up body, your body builds up force, your forcer builds up all kindas of energy.
Tip #1: Atmosphere... Your Atmosphere or your circle of Chi, is mainly your stance and your circle. When thrusting or lunging a limb outside of your circle, it can produce Chi many times you focus and charge it. Martial Artist use this technique in order to build a better defense for themselves if facing an opponet with much more force. This technique was said to be originated from the fighting style, "Taitachi"
Tip #2: Push Back Forcer... When using a push back forcer, you're using most of your strength to guard breaking or internally damaging your opponet. A good time using this if your opponet is guarding or in their Atmosphere. A simple Back hand is best to activate a Push Back Forcer attack. This Technique was said to have originated from the fighting style, "Genjutsu"
Tip #3: Unstable Chi... When you have the legend level Chi inside you, who knows when you might just pop and kill a few. Unstable Chi is what we call, "Berserker", there's not that many ways to stop a loose person like that, only if someone were to completely surpass him/her. But if you manage to find a way to control that Chi, you may become even stronger than the Seniors.
Tip #4: Basic and Complicated attacks... When using an attack, there would be many ways to just counter a normal based attack or even a complicated based attack. But your moves might just work with a fake. For example: If i use a spinning back hand (Right hard), and my opponet is expecting a a right, i'll switch to my left and smack him a good one. But beware, your opponet might be thinking the same as you or maybe just the opposet. Basic attacks are seperated by use of Chi or how hard you hit using your basic levels of damage. Complicated attacks consits of Chi usage, strength, intelligance, and adaption.
Tip #5: Charizma and Momentum... Your body can only take and use so much during a fight. Chi is not an unlimited source that you can just use from nowhere. It must be gained through relaxing the body mind and spirit. Spirit being your charizma. Charizam is the power inside you that strives you to keep on going, or your encouraging part of your consicence. This has lots to do with confidence, confidence has lots to do with your fatigue and your fatigue is everything in a fight. Your momentum is what keeps your charizma going at a steady pace, it's the time when you don't seem to have the upper hand, but is still fighting as you did when you first started the match. This is important to most Martial artist who never stop.

Is this real??? I have always thought Ki(Chi) was some kind of mystical energy until recently where I discovered using certain muscle contractions you actually increase your power.

I don't really use this stuff in a real fight. But this is true. Some martial artist have known to use this type of strategy.
Did ya know, Bruce lee was toned, then he use E.S.T. on his muscels to maximize them like rocks? I never knew that till after i post this topic xd it's crazy, isn't it?

E.S.T. is Elecro shock theropy. He used it on his muscels and was actually like a titan. he was so strong! he could break rocks and jump onto roof tops with his powerful strength. Sense it wasn't drugs that got him to where he was, it was legal to do what he did.
Ki is no mystical force. Other anime shows love to over exaggerate on things such as chi and complicated attacks. For instance, the Kamehameha from DBZ, it's a Force Push based attack that initiallizes the Tiger Mouth style, or the Demon Breath attack.
