Okay, so I haven't been around Gaia in a while, and I thought I'd check out which of my guilds were still alive, so here I am!
I've currently started writing a trilogy, and I was just wondering if anyone else here is writing something that is more than one book long.
I'm just very curious to see how you're going about it. I've noticed that whenever I have an idea for a series of books, it never really gets off the ground, and am really hoping to fix that.
Anyone have any thoughts?

I can't start writing thinking that my piece will be a series. I just have to follow my pen where it takes me and go from there. If you really want to write a trilogy, just write. Tolkein's The Lord of the Rings was meant to be one book before his publisher's made him split it up.

That is true, I remember that.
Yeah, I'm almost finished with chapter two now, so I'm thinking that all will turn out well. I was just wondering if anyone else is writing a series, because it kind of seems like this is going to be quite the undertaking.
What are you writing right now?

Cool. I've got planned a series of four books which lead off from each other, not the same characters but the same world. Should be good. In fact I've got charaters 1-2 of book two up.
Let us know how that goes.
