Um...my character isn't a fox, so I hope he's acceptable...

interests: serving his lord's wishes...even after his death, learning

other stuff: During the late 1600s, Kairen's lord ordered him on a mission. Before completing it though, Kairen was slain. Despite his apparent deadness, he still wished to fulfill his duty. The only problem being that he couldn't remember what he'd been sent out to do. Since then he's been wandering the world, searching for clues regarding his lord's wishes, to no avail. Most references to him were obliterated by time, so his only hope now are the long-lived kitsune his village had traded with long, long ago.

During his wanderings, Kairen gained control over his ectoplasmic form, learning that he could still affect the material world, only to a far lesser degree. Spiritual creatures and those who use spirit energy are the only things he can harm, even if the damage is purely metaphysical. Those he has fought against feel an acute drain on their spiritual power when his ghostly blade slashes them. For purely spiritual creatures like will-o-wisps and the like, it can be lethal. There have been only a few cases where he has had to wield his katana, for which he is most thankful.
