This poem was inspired by one of the options for the elegant veil called "love is blind". It's my most recent work and fitting for the up coming holiday of Valentine's day i think. I'm so excited about this forum. Science is nice and all (that's why i'm basing my career in it) but writing is my passion. mrgreen
Love is blind and I am broken
My glassy eyes unseen see
That love is blind and i am broken
What you're doing now to me
All dolled up upon the shelf
I grin and smile all the day
This emptiness inside me
Eating me away
Seeing the dust upon my lashes
I stare blindly across the room
Never moving a muscle
Watching the shadows that loom
A porcelain delicacy forgotten
Cracking and crumbling with time
Reality is fading with my dreaming
Living ludicrous the sublime
There isn't anyone to hold me
And one to call my own
The tragedy of me
Darkness and I think alone
Love is blind and I am broken
Are you happy now my friend
love is gone and I am broken
Would you like to put me down again?
