Aah, the library...
Light streams in from the few large windows, creating dust motes in the afternoon.
The old, renovated, multi-story building is filled with comfortable furniture and wooden shelves;
the smell of old manuscripts and fresh paper fills the air.
Below the ground floor and above the second, there's a veritable
maze of dark, old rooms to explore... if you have the guts.
There is a desk near the entrance - hardwood with a marble top. A small sign sits atop it.

Lyra is the librarian and the caretaker of the building. She's a bit of a bibliophile (a bit? Who am I kidding?).
Careful - when the lights go out, so, too, do the myriad ghosts and
memories that haunt the old building come out of the woodwork.

~Follow all the rules of this subforum.
~ Please be literate - i.e., using prose and third person and past tense (though I
guess, in that case, first person's fine too...), and full sentences and quotation marks.
~ Talking to others is fine.
~ If you shout in the library, Lyra will have to hit you. And throw you out. You can come back in, though.
** A small note - it seems no-one's interested in exploring the library... don't be afraid to try it, it sounds like a lot of fun... But Lyra can't do it, because she really doesn't like dark, confined places where it's easy to be jumped.
