I have to say that after watching the movie with Jeid in New York, it was pretty good.

Overall, a very strong start. The problems could be worked out with a bit of polish and gathering experience as work continues. Its biggest weakness is that it's NOT a series, TV or OVA. It's just too short to get to know the new characters very well. Strong start, well worth buying. Support the movie with sales and a series may well come into being.

I really liked it! I own it as well as the macross saga and New Generation. I think Scott Bernard grew two feet though, he was pretty short in the series. lol

Something new is brewing on Robotech.com as well, but we have no idea what it is or whether it's even worth noting.

Late post, but new to gaia.
I was driving by a theater and almost crashed my car because i saw, in big letters, ROBOTECH, on the building.
Ive never been that excited in years to be able to see this in a theater! It did not dissapoint a robotech freak like me one bit, it even tied together the sentinels and end of the circle with the rest of the series.
Oh! and if you have the DVD of southern cross and shadow chronicles. Put in Southern cross and find an episode when the Robotech Master notice the guardians of the mounds of the SDF 1's burial site. Then put in Shadow Chronicles and take a good look at the Haydonite Triumvirate. Forshadowing made 20 years in the past!

I'm sorry to say that I found the Shadow Chronicles rather dull. I liked the artwork and all, but there were too many contradictions in the story about what was said in the original Robotech Series for me to like it. I think I'll stick with the comic books and novels when it comes to the continuation of Robotech

I saw this movie and for me it was quite good although to short.
The new characters looks promising and the hedonites look like the next baddy of the saga.
I´ll hope that this could take us to see a newmovie or tv serius.
Scott character is much deeper than the old tv series.
So, hope everything tern ok.

Many will critisize TSC, but all in all it was a pretty grood movie, for a possible restartign point. Yes I know there were allot of other thing that could have been shown, and that people would have like to see, but ya gotta star somewhere. Lest just hope it doesn't take another 20, heck not even another 5 years before we see soem more great animation. And of Course now with WB having the rights to RT, hopefully a good live action movie too.
