Tsumi lives in a five room appartment with her mother. It contains a kitchen, two bedrooms, a family room and a small dining room. The outside is a dark black, but the inside is a cheerful white color. Tsumi's mother keeps the house clean and it is rare to find something laying about.

Tsumi entered the door slamming it behind her. She turned around and flicked the lock. Like that'll keep upper level ninjas out was her thought. She walked into the kitchen where her mom was making dinner, the aroma permeating the whole apartment. "Mmmm! Smells good! What is it?" she asked suspiciously.
Tsumi's mom held up the bowl, showing her the contents. "I'm making you one of your favorites, spagetti."
Tsumi nodded eagarly and picked out a single strand and ate it, feeling the wet strand slither down her throat. "OK, see you when it's ready." And with that comment she left and went to her room.

Tsumi walked along the hall, her feeting thumping against the hard wood. As she got to the to end she turned left and entered a dimly lit room, her room. The curtain was drawn down and seemed to be stapled shut. There was a blood red rug carpeting the ground that would be squished under your feet when you stepped on it. Her bed was just a matress on the floor with a few blankets, she didn't like the ones that everyone else had, to dangerous in her opinion. She sat down on the bed and heard a 'thump' from the protesting springs.

Tsumi looked up at her creaky old bookshelf and sighed. "I really gotta clean out some of those old books sometime" she said to no one, seeing all the childrens books. One book caught her attention for it wasn't old and faded with age. She slowly reached up and tugged it off the shelf. It was a wide book and was somewhat velvetey to the touch. She glanced down at the cover: How to train the chakras: three chakra exercises and some basic jutsus. Sounds interesting.

Tsumi read the chapter on water-walking and decided to give it a try before dinner. She stood up and grabbed her coat, slipping it over her arms. She then made her way down the hall into the kitchen and took a piece of bread. Between mouthfuls she told her mother where she was going. "OK, have fun at the Lake" was her mothers reply. With the book safely under her arms she left the house, closing the door behind her.

Tsumi and her mom sat down to dinner. She put down her fork and spoke. "Mom, today I became an official ninja of the Shadow Village, I'm now a Genin! Isn't that awesome." She was surprised when her mother only looked at her with sad eyes. "You're thnking of Dad aren't you. About how he was killed in that attack. Of how you couldn't stand to lose me, too. Aren't you?" Her mother nodded and continued eating. As she finished, Tsumi got up and left. "I won't die. I will become the best there is" she added before walking out the door.

Tsumi was gazing at another book, seeing how it said to train for her new Jutsu. She flipped the pages back and forth, a desparate attempt at memorizing them.

After the fifth reading she jumped up and began running in a circle. She concentrated on running really fast. Soon Tsumi was running almost fast enough for the Body Flicker. After working on it for a few more minutes she managed to go fast enough.

Tsumi hearded her mother call and dashed into the the other room using the Body Flicker. She sat down, listened to her and left. She was heading for the Ridge to train one more jutsu.
