Do you ever start making facial expressions or movements that your character would be doing? Like, if your slave character is being whipped, do you find yourself, as you're typing, making a painful expression on your face? xD I've done this so many times, and it makes me so thankful that I just have my laptop and the second floor of my house all to myself, so I don't end up embarressing myself. lmao.

xD "The only time I do stuff like that is when I'm trying to think of how the character would fell doing it, not because I'm trying to act like my character."

Yeah. I don't try to act like my character...it just that, when I'm typing, it seems easier to find the words on how to react. =P

Definitely. XD Sort of odd. (Though, I "am" my character "IRL", so there's little difference, really...)
But, yes. I do that when reading, as well, as if I'm making up for lack of illustration. XD To color the story and to better empathize with the main character.
Book: ...Marcy made an open-mouthed face of disgust upon finding the bloated corpse at her doorstep...
Me: gonk (Like this?)
Someone else in the room: What the hell?

I try to act like my characters as often as possible. If not for the sheer fun of it, but for getting a bit more into character.
"Vince smirked and tucked some strands of silver hair behind his ear, revealing the emblem of the royal courts."
-does so, but realises I doth not haveth earrings!- ... -cries in the corner-

Ditto... My character is the basest part of me whom I can control without having to be too 'quick' or 'witty' and walk away from someone. Damn Asperger's kills! evil

Yeah. I usually just do facial expressions, or sometimes, when I'm in my room alone, I'll try to act out different poses my character might be in, like tied up or crumpled in a heap, or being pinned to the wall/floor. o.o' I guess I really am masochistic. sweatdrop
