So, Anton devoted an entire chapter to the banishing of Psychic Vampires who prey on our feelings. After rereading it for the umpteenth time yesterday (Finally bought the book for myself... my old copy was taken), I began to wonder if a Satanist could act as a Psychic Vampires as a form of Lesser Magic. Your thoughts?

Hmmm ...
I suppose you could if you were trying to harm a certain individual.
Word might spread that you're a shoddy person though.
Definately would have it's backlashes.

I agree. It's just a form of Manipulation. I wouldn't do it to a loved one though.

If you are incredibly gifted at manipulating SEVERAL people at one time, and keeping all your stories straight, you might be able to pull it off.
I'd just stick with sex, sincerity, or wonder as a method of manipulation.
But, it's your choice. Do what you wish.

My ex-boyfriend Kyle (whom is a Satanist) prides himself on being a "psychic vampire"
And my god is he good at it when hes pissed at you.

I agree. It's just a form of Manipulation. I wouldn't do it to a loved one though.

I don't think it's possible to do it to a loved one.
If they are a loved one, you give them your love.
Those types of relationships are always give and take.
While you can use the same form,
it cannot be constant or they are not a loved one.

On another note, you could reverse the vampire's technique on to them.
Perhaps change their ways and save others from being prey.

I'd be very careful with being a psychic vampire, people feed off of you because the power and sway over another's life is addicting... Its a cool idea but I think that trying to manipulate someone though those means may end up hurting you worse then them....

Yeah up untill I read the Satanic Bible I had a friend that would be excactly like that but I haven't talked to him since I read that chapter. smile

well if you take a look at physic vampires. theres anton lavey verson of one. which is basically the manipulator of feelings while if you take a look at the vampire codex there belief is alittle diffrent. most of them draw energy and don't need to manipulate a persons emotion to gain there energy. only the begning psychic vampires do that and thats because they need there energy and they don't realise it.
