Hmmm... I used to have the same problem. And I would try making the idea original, thus confusing it and making it impossible to write. All of a sudden, I got a gem of an idea, and have stuck with it, and probably will until it's finished. I have no idea where it came from, so I can't really help there.
I say, just allow yourself to write. You're just developing as a writer, and you need to practice and develop your style, preferences, etc. Don't compare yourself to anyone - you are you, and no one else. If you think your work is crap, don't fret. Get some critique and advice, and it'll help you grow. Age, gender, race, background doesn't matter; people develop at different rates in different ways.
Do you try writing novels? I suggest try writing short stories, only a few pages long. Use the steps of plot to mentally develop an idea before writing. Use character guides to help create some well-rounded characters. Get tips from friends, or writing groups like this. Then, once you understand the ways in which you work best, apply your skills and maybe try to do something longer.
Hope that helped some!

Yes, that helped A LOT thanks for the advice, but see I can't ever write short stories because the stories/ideas are never short so I have trouble getting from the beginning to the end. Does anyone have any ideas on how to pick a topic to write about???

You... sound a lot like me. As far as trouble with writing goes, anyways. sweatdrop
Two suggestions:
1. Get your plot, characters, etc. Write them all down, or put them in a text file or something. Plot it out to the end, know where your story is going. That way, you won't get lost.
2. Now, get a friend or editor who will give you due dates and/or force you to write.
Then start writing as to not envoke the wrath of your friend/editor. Congrats. You've gotten somewhere. XD That would work very well for me, but most of my friends are too worried about insulting me or something. >.>
As for topics... I get my ideas from really minor things. For instance, a short story I wrote was inspired by a scene in a movie where the only line said was "and sometimes, love just goes away." Another story I'm still working on was inspired by a TV show which dealt with ghost stories. Really, just keep your mind open to story suggestions while going about your daily life, and something is bound to come up.

Oh, also:
If you get a good idea for a scene, write it down. I have a plot hiding somewhere in the back of my brain which is releasing itself only portions at a time through very neat little scenes which I love to death, but don't know what their about. I think I've got four or five so far... All saved in a text document for later plotting purposes.
