Doctor Percival "Perry" Cox;

Dr. Cox is a 40 year old sarcastic, unpleasant, and narcissistic senior attending physician at Sacred Heart Hospital and Residency Director for the hospital. Dr. Cox is, however, a fantastically skilled doctor. He has an unnatural hatred for Hugh Jackman, and frequently wears a Detroit Red Wings hockey jersey.

Johnny C. McGinley;

Born August 3, 1959 in New York, New York. He co-owns a restaurant with Willem Dafoe called "Match" in NYC. 1998 he got divorced from Lauren Lambert and in August 2006 he became engaged to yoga instructor Nicole Kessler in Malibu with whom he had dated for two years.
In 2001, McGinley began his acclaimed work as a regular on the NBC sitcom Scrubs as the acerbic Dr. Perry Cox. His characterisation of Cox has been largely complimented by critics. His most notable work came in the second season episode, "His Story." The episode saw the first narration to be done by anyone other than Zach Braff, instead narrated by McGinley. According to the IMDb, he originally took the role to be closer to his son Max, who was born in 1997 with Down syndrome. McGinley currently serves as the national spokesperson for the National Down Syndrome Society's annual Buddy Walk and wears a "Buddy Walk" bracelet on Scrubs.

You mean the My Lunch, My Fallen Idol arc in season five? That's not quite how it happened. XD They did get the organs they needed, from a patient who turned out to have rabies. The infected organs killed the three people they were transplanted to, because the disease is so rare (apparently six cases a year) they didn't think to test for it.

But yeah... that was really sad. But one of my favorite arcs, because it shows the relationships between the characters and Cox.

Northstar2790 says:

I'm watching those episodes right now!
I love how Cox and J.D. have the heart to heart talk and in the end J.D. had to spit out the scotch.
It's good the Cox listens to someone...at least sometimes.

Doctor Cox's seemingly-uncaring attitude makes him so endearing heart

He really does care about the hospital, and his patients though, like you all said, when those people died, it was so sad.
