Welcome to Gaia! ::

As you may know, SaraRenee recently decided to leave gaia for good. I've been keeping in touch with her via e-mail, and on Friday she sent me a prayer request that she said she would like me to post in here. This is what she said:

"My niece is staying with my family for the next few days, until Mid-next week anyways. Someone's been abusing her and I have said it several months ago and was told that my niece was two she'd just say stuff off the top of her head and act weird. I told a leader at my church, and I believe she thought I was only telling her for attention and then told me it wasn't my responsiblity, it was my mom's. But no one believed anything was happening. She's with us now because she's not allowed back at her house until an investigation for child abuse has ended and somethings been done. They believe my sister is lying and that her boyfriend did it. However, my sister lying, isn't helping them baby and also making herself look extremely guilty. I don't think my sister hits her child, but I do know she doesn't always treat her right. And I do know someone is hitting her because she has bruises, lots of them. Something no one would believe me on, has now turned into, my niece not being able to see the only person she has ever known as a dad and my sister probably screwing herself over. Not saying I think they do this stuff to be mean or controlling, I just think they don't know how to handle a two year old. I think if they took parenting classes it would be fine, but you do see where this is a very serious thing now? So I just ask if you had time, would you please just pray for my niece, Bailey. She's also my God Child so she means the world to me. And my sister, well enough said there, she's my sister. So yea, if you could do that, that would be awesome."

She got to go back home last Monday which was the 17th. They just have to take parenting classes and they get to keep her. I miss Bailey and I do worry about her, I haven't seen her since she left and only talked to her once. It's funny hwo kids can steal your heart, butI guess it's ok that she has mine. But I still worry, just they way they talk to her sometimes, makes me wonder but I do know, if worse ever comes to worse, my mom agreed she'd take her in. And I know if I ever had to once I'm able to support myself, I'd take her in, in a heartbeat, she is my God child as well. But point is she is doing ok right now and if she does get taking away, ever from my sister and her boyfriend, Bailey has a place to go. And I thank you all for praying for her and reading this prayer request even if you didn't post. It means a lot to me really.
