As you enter the glade’s secluded spring, you find a hornless unicorn lying in the sunlit waters. Her feathered wings hover over her body, relaxed. The uni’s long, silky tail drifts about her, suspended in the water. Its tint is steely blue, fading to glittering gold and shimmering silver. As you step closer, she rises and turns to you, pondering the reason of your presence. There is but a moment before a uni comes to her side, keeping his wing over her back. The antlers of the new uni were held high, as if showing a high social status.
Who are you, to enter our domain without consent? The dark uni said, in an almost threatening way.
Leave them be. The mare spoke, looking between you and the stallion at her side. I am Celestine, queen of the Glade. I am Tysandri, King of this domain. He spoke, retracting his wing from over Celestine. We will leave you in peace to explore, or enlighten you with our histories . The mare spoke softly. You nod, curious of the past of these two magnificent beings.
I shall begin… murmured Celestine. It was years ago, when our kind ran freely. In this very glade, two unis bearing the cosmos’ power met and became one. But then, the evil beings called ‘Darklings’ chased them off, leaving my newly formed ingot to cool in these waters. The two were never seen, nor were the darklings. I alone grew here, feasting on the ever green grass, sipping out of the pure and cool spring. I thought the darklings were of my distant imagination. That proved to be false, so I fled, running blindly through the forest. I was soon perused by wild unis of the Blood element. As I was cornered...I found her, surrounded and without hope. She escaped, and I followed her. I soon took her to the Uni Adoption Agency, hoping to find her a carekeeper. We were lucky to find Kwik, or Iumi, who lives with us in the Glade, high in the treetops. She took us both in. Celestine, unwanting to live in captivity ran off. We searched, and when all hope was lost, we found her in this very glen, staring into the waters. From then, I swore to protect her, keeping her in my sight. Eventually, I asked her to be my mate, and she happily accepted. They stared at each other for a moment, then looked back at you. We may soon have an ingot of our own. Celestine said. You may now explore our home. Tysandri said, bobbing his head respectfully as Celestine did the same.
