Since I've been playing Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, I've been wondering: What if they were to put RE2 and RE3 on the DS? Would it work? And what if they went as far to put Silent Hill on the DS?

Actually, I've always that it'd be an awesome idea as well. It'd be a good way for Capcom to keep the RE franchise active outside of movies without having to work on an entirely new game. Just rework the puzzles and enemy placements like with RE DS in new and interesting ways, and blammo, we gotta winner, yeah?
Not sure 'bout Silent Hill though. The SH games used full 3D polygonal environments instead of the pre-rendered backgrounds that so many RE games had used (part of the reason why all the character and enemy models looked as good as they did throughout the series) and the DS isn't quite THAT advanced.....some original SH content would be welcome though. And I STILL think it'd be a great platform for the original Clocktowers, yeah?

I just think it'd be perfect for alot of point-n-click adventures, really.
Clicking on things with the stylus, your inventory is always on the top screen, etc. It's perfect!

True, but it's all up to Capcom in the end. Sony and Capcom seem content to just be porting PS1 games through the PS3 and onto the PSP, so an enhanced version seem alot less likely on PSP.....

Well, it depends......cuz RE DS is certainly a better investment then getting the Director's Cut from your PS3 to your PSP....unless you're that hardcore about getting the original PS1 graphics perfectly ported : P

Besides, the DS wasn't that much of an improvement. Basically the character models look RE3 quality. I mean sure, there's that bonus gameplay mode, but I never said, "Cooooool!" when I heard of it.

I thought RE: DS was awesome because it brought back that nostalgic feeling. That and I never did beat RE1 on the PS1 because I was a chicken back when it first came out. xD;;
Anyways, I wish they'd bring RE2 and 3 to the DS. That'd make me a very happy Terry, indeed it would. 3nodding
