Hmmm... I remember seeing pictures of Dir en Grey and hearing about them a few years ago, but I didn't start actually listening to them until last year when my friend did an article on Jrock for our [crappy] school paper. biggrin

my friend told me about it...i just fell in love w/ Miyavi instantly. Then i got into Diru and then L'arc~en~ciel/Hyde. and then i did my own jrock research 3nodding

I got into J-rock was by my friend got into it and had this whole stage and she would always be talking about MYV and then she got real into Diru and then I got LimeWire, so I downloaded some Dir en Grey songs and I got really into J-Rock.

i heard about them a long time and decided WTF and listened to a bunch of thier music and was instantly hooked heart then i heard about hide.... hes my idol

My story's a little weird.
Part 1: My friend is looking for pictures of hot Asian men and she comes across Gackt's infamous naked shots (not the ones with You and Masa- but those were found latter). She sends them to me and tell me it's some guy named Gackt. I had heard the name once, but knew nothing about him. I foward the pics to another friend and then she starts playing Malice Mizer songs over the phone. After that, I looked up Gackt mp3's and.....yeah
Part 2: I was looking for an avatar for an rpg character when I came across Miyavi. I thought "that's a pretty girl, but who is she?" Seriously, I saw the Miyabi picks and thought he was a girl for a month. I looked him but, came across "Night in Girl" and "POP is Dead" and the rest...it's all good. ^_^

you know i really cant remember exactly when it started.... but oh it deffinitly happened! so now i love all sorts of jrockers!
Dir en grey, hide(r.i.p.) miyavi, gackt, hyde, D'espairs ray, X-japan, malice mizer, i could go on but i really dont want to be banned so im going to post more random stuff whee

My sisters friend brought a cd over and gave it to her. (she loved it until she left that school and decided it was just a bunch of gay guys)
it had gackt, malice mizer, and dir en grey on it ^^
So yeah, I thought it was weird at first and that my sister was crazy but. . .. I dont know, I love it now >.<

I saw an american dub of Volcano high on MTV, liked it, decided to look up stuff about the movie, and I found one site that had stuff about concert reviews so I was like,"hm... I'll just pick one.... 'Dir en grey', sounds interesting. OOO! it's a girl band! I'm soo listening to them!" xd xd xd yesh
but before that I had heard some anime related J-pop 3nodding
