RisikaVampier and I (her, mostly xd ) have noticed a lot of AMAZING (yes, AMAZING eek ) poetry going up in the Poet's Corner subforum and we decided that we could make use of our artist's talents and help develop them with some friendly competition. And after long, painstaking hours (and by that I mean minutes) of discussion, we have decided to start a poetry contest.There is a topic for this contest howerver, you must write about The Gotic Empire. Not the " oh this guild is so cool" stuff, im talking about bringing the Empire to life, give it breath, a heart beat. Make it just like a real empire from your perspective. The rules are simple:

1)There will be an entry fee of 200g
2)You may enter as many times as you'd like, but you must pay 200g for each poem.
3)Send the trade, appropriately labelled, to myself and PM me your poem.
4)Once the competition begins, everyone's poems will be put up in a sticky thread.
5)Voting will be done by other guild members, not by Risika and I, to allow for less bias.
6)The winner will receive the pot. Yes, the pot. That means that every single piece of gold from the entry fees will be given to the winner. If 5 people enter, the prize will be 1K, if 50 people enter, the prize will be 10K, simple as that. The winner will also have their poem shown on the front page of the guild.

Have some fun and enjoy the contest. This is a great way to express yourself and make a little something on the side twisted

Note:As of when the entries will stop being taken in is unknown, but as of now the contest is open, if you have a piece you'd like to enter, feel free! you may also enter a picture with your poetry(no extra cost)
