I've been reading up on some strange band names on the net.....my frined actually performs in one....here are some examples
Satans Slippers
Cane Toads squish when run over
Stanic ashes pouring over a ducks back liek candle wax..
List any strange names...

Great band, weird name. It has an exclamation point in the middle of the name.

Five Iron Frenzy
quick: history: So the band was out golfing one day. Because they suck at it, and nothing keeps sucky golfers from golfing, right? One of the band members went up to the tee and someone said "It'll be a five iron frenzy!" implying that he was going to swing the club (a five iron) like mad and not hit the ball. Name stuck.
MxPx
quick history: Does anyone know why the band is called MxPx? Now you will know:
MxPx stands for Magnified Plaid. Buy their first cd, thats what it says. But you may ask, what about the x's? The x's are commonly used in punk rock circles to represent periods in acronyms. So, on flyers, the bands name was written as "MxPx" instead of "Magnified Plaid" or "M.P." Somehow, MxPx ended up becoming the official name.
But why Magnified Plaid anyways? That I don't know. Probably has something to do with punk rockers and plaid pants.

The Butthole Surfers always seemed strange to me. They only had one hit song, "Pepper."
Perhaps if their name was different, they would've sold more records...
