What people keep saying is that they want to get better. To be blunt, critiques are wonderful, but they can be vague and general. Workshops would gives members the opportunity to expand their skills in particular directions, with the help of others.
My Idea
A subforum. Having multiple workshop threads going in the main forum would just clutter it up more. It would also keep the workshop threads in one place so it is easier to look through them.
Each thread would have people who help run it. These individuals would need to be people who can help others. As an example, I would be fine doing a Celtic knotwork Workshop, but not a faces one. That is because I am good at making the knots, but have trouble with faces.
In these threads, posting images would be limited. Fifteen posts per page, with people posting their progress, would be a lot of images per page. I for one try to be considerate. Not everyone has faster than dial-up connections.
There would be stickies in the subforum to find out what people want to have workshops for and to find people to run them.

This is just an idea. I would like your input and reactions. Good, bad, boring? I want to know. No point in setting it all up for it to be ignored.
