I've found free downloads from Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Horrorpops, NOFX, and more there. They have something like three downloads from each record.

Limewire is like your computer inviting viruses to rape it... trust me, I have first hand experience. Epitaph is a record company that offers safe downloading directly from their official site.

There is a band called The b*****d Fairies that has their entire album on their website that you can download for free. They're more indie than anything, but they have some pretty nifty stuff none the less.

Yeah Bear Share is the lame. It takes forever and has very limited results.

Bear Share is also charging to copy songs you get from there onto CDs and DVDs.
It has turned against us...
