That's right, a new Monarch is headed our way.

We just need a Dark Monarch and we're complete.
I wonder what this one will be called in the states...
Raiser the Gale Monarch? ninja  FOTB-JP0?? Wind Emperor Raiser WIND/Bird – Effect/6/2400/1000 When this card is successfully Tribute Summoned, return 1 card on the field to the top of the owner’s deck.

Seems that way. It's a nice card to add to Wind decks. Possibly a nice card overall. I can foresee a Dark Monarch coming out. He'll probably have an effect that puts a card on the field face-down. That could be a very useful effect.
When/What is this card coming out in?

This card is great overall.
It clears the field and provokes dead draws, and fucxks up the Gadget cycle.
I doubt the Dark one will have an effect like that.
All Monarchs follow the following trend:
Each ******/2400/1000 monsters.
Different attribute with each release
Each has an offensive effect.
Each has an effect that gets rid of something.
I doubt the Dark one will stray from the trend unless it's supposed to be some sort of special Monarch.
This card is coming out in the next set after Strike of Neos, Force of the Breaker.
Early Summer I believe.
FOTB will also introduce a new type of monster called the Jewel Beasts.
UDE has also promised us new support for older legacy themes such as Harpies, Gravekeepers, and Archfiends.
I'm only hoping for Dark Scorpion support.

I just saw the new set on a site.
As for the monarch, there isn't much else open for using for his effect. Possibly return 2 face-down cards to your opponent's hand or something? It would probably do with face-downs due to the Darkness attribute.

We have yet to have a bouncy Monarch.
It'll either be that, or a Change of Heart-esque effect.

That could also be true. Kinda like an Enemy Controller with ATK. Then again, that may be too weak an effect. I, for one, look forward to the new Chaos-like monsters coming out.

I don't like the mini-Envoys.
It's nothing new or original.
It's just a crappy imitation Chaos that only works with angel/demon hybrid decks, which don't exactly fair too well to begin with.

The main point is to bring back cards that people will be able to use that are powerful like that. If you run a Chaos Sorcerer deck, you can adjust it for those monsters. And if you plan on making it for just 1 then only make 1/3 your monsters the less needed attribute.

Either way I'm just not too fond of remakes.
First with the End of the World cards, now these.
They should just come up with more original effects.
Like Snipe Hunter.
It's been awhile since we got something so original that's actually playable.
Honestly I'd like to see them do another one of those contests on 4Kids where people submit their ideas for cards, and the winner has that card printed into a real card.
Reminds me of Tyler the Great Warrior.
