For a while when I was a kid, I was absolutely obsessed with this movie. I like Toulousse, Berlioz, Uncle Waldo, and the Jazz Cats.
Uncle Waldo: "The special of the night. 'Roast goose, served with chestnuts, and basted in a white wine.' Outrageous! Being British, I'd prefer a good sherry!"
"Everybody wants to be a cat Because a cat's the only cat Who knows where it's at. Who wants to dig a longhaired gig And stuff like that When everybody wants to be a cat?
A square with a horn Makes you wish you weren't born Every time he plays. (Oh, a rinky-tinky-tinky.) But with a square in the act You can set music back To the caveman days. (Buh-buh-buh bum! Oh, yeah!)
I heard some corny birds who tried to sing. Still a cat's the only cat who knows how to swing. When playing jazz he'll always have a welcome mat 'Cause everybody wants to be a cat!"

the kittens are just so adorable!! Toulouse: I was having a funny dream. Edgar was in it. And we were all riding along... *evil froggie croaks* Frogs?! Uh-oh, it wasn't a dream. Edgar did this to us. Duchess: Edgar? Tsk! Oh, darling, but that... why, that's ridiculous. Berlioz: Yeah, maybe you fell on your head, Toulouse!!

Oh, what a charming movie! Probably one of my favorites from that time, if not my favorite. The characters are all lovable (even the bad guy) and those two dogs, Lafeyette and Napolean, are a treasure whee I also love the music, especially the one at the very beginning of the credits that ends with French, so cute 3nodding

Aie! I had almost forgotten about Napoleon and Lafayette! They're so great. I think one of my favorite aspects of this movie is the character names.
Napoleon and Lafayette...Obviously Roquefort....A kind of cheese Toulousse....Named for Henri de Toulousse-Lautrec, art noveau painter Berlioz....Named for a romantiscist composer Frou-Frou....Okay, this one's just funny. Abraham Delacey Giuseppe Casey Thomas O'Malley....It makes for a great song. Marie....I want to say that she's named for Marie Antoinette. It makes sense...I haven't seen it for a while. There aren't any prominent moments with her and cake, are there? Someone with a copy please watch through and let me know!
Anyone think of any others from this movie worth mentioning?

Aristocats was the first movie my parents ever took me to see. I was almost 4 yrs old. Many years later, my boyfriend's white mama cat had a litter that exactly matched the kittens from the movie, so I named them Marie, Toulouse, and Berlios. biggrin

The Aristocats is like my favorite Disney Movie of all TIME. I've seen it an uncountable amount of times. One of my favorite parts is when the mouse......I don't know how to write his name........comes out with his cracker. I have even seen the movie in French.
