Very nice, thanks alot for contributing this. Looks like the world traveling from B3 is gonna make an appearance as we can see from trunks in saiyan armor in the top screen, and by the looks of the bottom screen the environments will be done like B3 as well instead of having a BG but you could never reach any real environment thanks to the infinite spanning foreground. Too bad i cant read japanese, I'd like to see what kind of new features it's spouting about there.

hmmm, looks cool. I may have to get a psp just for these two games.
my comments:
first pic - looks like the B3/BT2 story allright, but looks much better especially with the dragon radar like it is. I wonder though, will it be as irritating to move to the map only to move 4 feet and jump to another loading screen like the B3/BT2 because that really bothered me and breaks up the action quite a bit. I figure the whole landing on the surface feature in BT2 will be left out which isn't a huge loss but I hope they keep in (and fix) the chasing opponent on the map feature.
second pic - with that angle it would almost look like BT/BT2 but it obvious that it won't be the same thing, maybe just a dramatic angle for a move. On the energy bars the ki and health are present as always but the bar on the bottom doesn't look familiar, my only guess would be some kind of block meter. Anyone notice how far the distance is between them, almost doesn't make sense.
overall - the graphics look good at about a quarter the size it will be but it could be that up close they will still seem lacking like the original. Sticking with the dragon road would have been fine for me because I liked how the story was done in SSW, SSW2 and BT, but it could still be an improvement. I hoping for more V.O.'s though.

Right on with more VO's, like i said in my summary of Shin 1 the story would have been even more amazing if they added in VO's and it's total BS if their excuse is they can't fit them in the disc. I also find the distance between the two unusual now that you mention it, and I'm wondering about all those various bars and meters on the world map aside from the radar. Wonder what they could all mean/be used for although they look kind of uneccesary but who knows.

Wonder what they could all mean/be used for although they look kind of uneccesary but who knows. the distance could just be a result of a scripted attack, although I doubt that. the top pictures bars could be: top left - in legend of the super sayain (the rpg game which inspired the world mode in B3) there was a menu, that would pop up from time to time, had similar amount of options for: land/fly, items(could be the z items in this case), options, and exit. This menu could just be an active menu that comes up when you are near a location, thats all. timer - WTF? who needs a timer, eh? middle(under timer) - two things, it could either be the name of the thing he's hoering over or an opponent in the distance(look at the figure left of the bar, it could just be a japanese letter/character) bottom left and right - senzu beans? bottom - your guess is as good as mine.

Thats as a good a guess as i could think of sarriss, those do look just like sensu beans and that bar in the back looks like it's hovering below a character far away and it does look similiar to the bar under trunks, like right under him as if it's signifying something about him. And yeah, a timer? What the heck IS up with that? Unless they did add in chasing down an opponent or you have to get to a certian location within a time limit which would make sense. And although i didnt comment on it before, I hated the city dearch they added in T2 where you just land, you have about two feet in each direction to move in and then some random character is just standing there. The world travel was ten times more fun in B3 because you could land almost anywhere at any time and a small dialoguge would ensue that actually made sense and was relevant,or funny in the case when you land in *west?* capital and see yamcha,or land and get capsules/zenny and gohan sais "huh, man some people are just so careless leaving money around" XD Plus i liked the portrait art for the characters in B3 so seeing a return of that would be nice if the portraits were fully animated.

SO that means that the concept they took from B3 was allowed because atari owns the rights but the actual code is unavailable and of course reverse engineering ins against the law. So Basically The system had to be made from scratch(which really wasn't hard because they just modified the in game engine, which is a big reason why you can still ascend and descend). exclaim the landing is revolutionary and innovative the only problem was it was so limited, but that was due to the lack of space on the disk or enough memory. You can really tell they wanted more for that system. with that said I do agree with you, the whole thing is pretty worthless and they should have stuck with the original ladder format or something similar after all they don't have alot of time to make these games. Lastly, am I the only one that misses B3's Scouter or energy sensing for the world mode?

Ok, before i have a heart attack and pass out i gotta post this. Check IGN and they'll give you a little summary of the game, along with a new DS game but I'll talk about that later. It turns out another road is not just going to be another movie arc, it's going to span across a new storyline, and...and...*dramatic drum roll* they mentioned directly on IGN that the new storyline their focusing on in this one is where Trunks faces the different perils of babidi and majin buu in his own time. Now why is this such a shock you might ask, cus for the longest time i've been thinking up how that would actually go since all events that happened before the androids attack in trunks timeline syncs with waht happened in the regular timeline, and if you remember bibidi planted majin buu's egg on Earth ages ago so ofcourse babidi would come back to revive majin buu in trunks timeline just like he did in the regular timeline. If they stick with the creative script writers they had from shin one and actually do VO's I'm gonna explode from the excitement of knowing this might turn out the way i want it too. So...ok,got that out of my system but like I said we now know it's not going to just be about one atory arc, and it also said it would include characters spanning from all three series including *cringe* GT. Oh and also they said we'll be able to battle Wirelessly with Wi-fi this time and not just add hoc so that's gonna be awesome too.

It probably is,then again the Trunks story line although it is going to be major, isnt the only one in the game but yeah it most likely is vs. mode. *continues to mentally cross fingers in desperate hope that the story is completely voiced*

Oh man this just keeps getting better and BETTER. New screen shots of shin 2 have been released and here it comes, you get to play as Future Gohan from Trunks time and as trunks in his saiyan armor even with his hair cut short. Now as it appears you see Gohan fighting Buu although we know by that time he's dead,so it must be versus mode but it does suggest they'll likely be retelling/re-visiting trunks history from the beginning in story mode to allow his playability. This is fantastic news seeing that previously you could o nly play as future gohan in Sagas and now you can in classic Budokai action. Be even better if they add in a costume change for him to have only one arm but hey this is good to begin with. Seeing that i have no HTML skill's I'm just gonna post the link to pspupdates where i found the pics,so enjoy and continue the excitement. And a last note,by looking at these images it does seem that the view is going to be from behind the back as in every screenshot it is from this angle. Not that it would be so complicated to play this way but it does seem awkward that they switched the normal view.
