Maaaaan. We've been walking all DAAAAAY.

It was probably around the same time that the same complaint came into Kinye's head every day, trotting about in the same hot savannah sun in her now less-than-normal life. She should have guessed leaving the pack would have had such a result.. but she couldn't help it.

"Are we just gonna walk forever until we hit a mountain or something?" she inquired, looking over to her kidnapper/companion with a sort of pouting expression.

Sure, with time, she'd gotten used to his pace, but if this is what he had done every day before they'd met, his life was BORING. "We don't meet anybody out here like this, and I'm almost starting to think we have this conversation every day too!"

Oh god.. I -did- make this same complaint yesterday.. I'M STUCK IN A TIME VORTEX WITH NOTHING TO DO!!

There was a pause of silence from the adolescent, before she lightly tagged the male who had run off with her with a paw, then went running off ahead of him.

"Tag! -YOUR- it!" she called, romping off into the grass.

Gereizt was perfectly at home wandering about the savannah. His blue paws were just as happy with dust under them as with dirt. His eyes satyed forward, tail flicking in annoyance.

God. She's a pain...

He didn't regret taking her with him. He just regertted not ripping out her tongue first. "Yes Kinye. That's exactly what we're going to do, walk until we bruise our noses against the rocks." Reizt probably wasn't the easiest dog to get along with and if Kinye thought he would be open to questions, she was dead wrong.

The blue male watched her as she darted off. He hadn't played tag in years. It was such a pup like thing to do. Reizt grumbled softly, heading after only to keep an eye on her. "Damnit..."

The sandy colored female could tell the discomfort of the male for having to chase around after her chatty old obnoxious little self, but... meh, right now she didn't care about it that much, only trying to get him to play with her.

God.. they needed to pick up a KID or something to keep her preoccupied.

Not that she had much mind on Reizt's trenchant persona. It was rather adorable once she had gotten used to it, simply poking his buttons now more than being daunted by how MEAN he was at times.

So there was much glee to be found in the 'charming knight' (who had swept her onto the back of his non existant steed and ran off with her) chasing her down against what he thought was best.

Afterall, he -could- have just decided she was old enough to take care of herself and dropped her in a river or something (and she was sure he'd been tempted once or twice to do so..)

"I'm wiiiinnniiiiing~ And the winner gets a PRIZE." she called out to him, not quite fleeing like the wind, but not letting him close enough to tag back either. Simply teasing.

Gereizt wasn't in any mood for play. Running expended too much energy especially when you had no where to go. At least his strides were long and easy to take.

With a growl and a sigh, his pace quickened. If Kinye wanted a game then she would most definately lose. He was stronger, faster and more dertermined to make it end. Blue fur was full of brambles and leaves as he tore through the grass.

"A Prize?" A grin bared his fangs as he came closer to her, closing the gap.

"What would that be...Kinye?"

She had turned away, leaving her back towards the blue male as she considered this, totally unaware that he was so close as she considered the question he had asked.

What -was- the prize.

Turning to see how close the blue male had gotten, her eyes widened a bit in a sort of shock, before she grinned cheesily. "Well, you'll just have to find out." she teased, before turning and booking it off again.

However, with her luck, there was no -way- she was faster than the more experienced and older male. So it was probably a wasted effort, even though she was laughing the entire time.

Running from him was so much FUN, because his response was always so HUMOROUS. Like the bone. Not that she knew bone names or anything.

Ducking into the grass in an attempt to hide, she wagged her tail, obviously having fun, his tough exterior included, the sandy wild dog giggled, being the worst at hiding, EVER.

The male stopped when he lost sight of her. Dust rose around his paws as his nose dipped to the ground, trying to smell her out. He took a few steps before lifting his head to scan the grass. He wasn't going to let her know that he couldn't see her.

"Find out eh? Will it be a nice prize?" His nose tasted the air, finally trapping her scent. Maybe she'd answer?

It was never too hard to find the little spitfire. She was quite a horrible hider anyway. He'd find her after some point by her own stupidity. His tail wagged behind him asher scent got stronger, leading him to her.

"Where are you Kinye?"

He had a fairly good idea where she was but playing oblivious was fun.

Continuing to giggle and move loudly in the grass as his fake obliviousness (which she couldn't tell.. ) she called back, "Maaaaayyyyybe." she teased still, and started to crawl through the grass, making a little crawling-path-of-doom! Now all that was needed was.....

Lifting her head a bit to peek over the grass, she quickly ducked her head down again upon spotting her playmate, though her ears still poked up over the grass.

Neon sign.. SHE'S OVER HERE!

It was funny how oblivious SHE was.

"I'm not teeeeeellllling.." she beamed, still being as loud as possible, then giggling and ducking in the grass. Hiding was FUN! Oh, Reizt would -never- find her there. She blended in too well (though was loud as EVERYTHING to contrast this.)

"You'll NEVER find me.."

Gereizt watched the path on the grass. A soft chuckle came from him and his tail wagged a bit more as he sautered through the grass.

"Oh?..."

The grin on his face widened at the sight of her ears. His body crouched low as he came closer and closer to his companion. It was almost sad that she was so easy to catch but she was much more interesting to him now than when he had first "kidnapped her"

With a quick and easy spring, Reizt could see the small female.

"Game over."

The blue male stepped closer to nibble lightly on one of her ears. "You actually thought you could get away?" He chuckled softly.

A pouting 'whine' was her response to having been caught, tugging her ear from his mouth to roll over onto his back in a sort of 'submissive' manner, and pressing a paw to his nose.

"Awwww! I lose! How mean!" she protested, licking his nose, before flopping over onto her side and grinning, her tail still waggling happily. He was so sneaky, it was FUN to play games with him!

Rolling back onto her stomach, she tilted her head back to look up at him. "I guess my losing means you win, ne?" It was more of a statement, than a question, but she felt the need to say it anyways, before laughing again.

"What would you like for a prize?" Kinye inquired, sitting up, one of her ears flopped down over one eye in a comical manner. "Winner's pick sounds reasonable to me~" she explained.

Translation: I really didn't have anything better in mind.

The blue male fell back on his haunches, letting his tail thump against the ground.

"If you call getting caught losing then yes, you did." Reizt chuckled, pawing lightly at her back. He didn't quite know what he wanted. It had been awhile since he atually played a game let alone win. Ears pressed against his skull, he thought.

"Dunno what I want quite yet..." There wasn't much he could get anyway. She wasn't the pick of the litter so everything he'd ask for would probably be way out of her reach.

Gereizt stretched out his legs before sliding to his stomach, licking the dust from his paws.

"It was -tag-. I'm not supposed to get caught." she defended, tilting her head back to move the ear from her face. Her ears also flattened back as he thought, as if trying to read (with much failure) his mind, before she simply sighed and shook her head.

"Doesn't matter. Just lemme know when you think of something." she replied moving to sit next to him, before starting to groom some of the grass out of his side while he cleaned his paws. Kinye couldn't really see WHY she was doing so, since it would probably come back again before the end of the day, and the process would have been repeated.

Part of why she didn't muss at her own fur so much.

Licking her teeth to clean the grass from it, she looked up at Reizt, then, as discreetly as possible, sat up, put one paw over his back and took a hold of one of his ears.

"gottcha." she said, muffled through his fur.

Gereizt smirked as he continued to clean. It was so unbelievably fun to tease his companion. He hadn't known why she has grown on him but all of her antics was a welcome change.

"I most certainly will, my darling." He chuckled softly at the tug on his ear. She would never be any kind of threat to him even when he wasn't in the best position to be thinking that.

Maybe he'd just let her win this time.

"Alright. Alright. Let's let the old boy go." Muzzle turned, he tried to get her leg just so he'd have some kind of trade for his ear back.

Futile effort of course.

"You win, Kinye. I surrender." His tail wagged as he turned, trying his best to lick her shoulder.

"Yippee! I win~" she beamed, not having really.. wait..

"... Was that a game of winners and losers?" she inquired in a sort of stupor, thinking about this for a minute, before shaking her head. No. It HADN'T been. "How can I win when I wasn't playing the win/lose game?" she complained, flopping onto his back, carefully as to not put ALL her weight on it (she'd done that once, and he hadn't been too happy. What? Sunrise was -not- when people were meant to sleep!) at once.

Tail wagging, she resumed her grooming, though it was a little more difficult when flung over his back like she was.

"And you're not -that- old. Older than I am, yeah.. but not -OLD, old-. I mean.. you don't whine in pain when you get up, or say 'back in my day', or talk have gray in your fur, or want to sleep every seven hours."

She crinkled her nose. "-THAT- is how old people act, Reizt." she teased, licking the inside of one of his ears to tease him, before resuming on his side.

Gereizt chuckled lightly, continuing too groom his large blue paws.

"You can win at anything even if you think you can't." Eh. It was vague but what else was he supposed to say? That he surrendered? Never. Not to her. The male did like her but not enough to let her know that.

Oof...

How many times did he have to tell her that his back wasn't her resting place? The blue fur on his neck bristled as h looked back at the female drapped over him. At least she hadn't thrown herself on him like last time and she was making herself somewhat useful.

"Alright. Maybe I'm not that old..." No matter how young or old Gereizt was, he hated the idea of gray fur. To have little pieces of hair that marred fabulous blue would be an outrage.

"Comfortable up there?"

"I guess so." she agreed, sticking her nose up in the air at her companion's statement, sort of dismissing it. What did -that- have to do with anything, anyhow?

Looking at the fur that had bristled a bit at the unwanted gesture of her sitting upon him, she laughed a bit, and used a paw to brush it back down again, to rid him off the 'puffed up' look that, in her glee, was so adorable. It was if she was trying to find how many ways she could think of to drive him CRAZY. Which, in itself, was all good.

"Exactly. So don't say your old." she teased, then took a moment to consider if his back was a comfortable spot to be in. Mmm... "I guess so." she shrugged indifferently, sliding off his back to lay in the dirt by his side, her bum sticking up in the air and her tail wagging at a thousand miles per hour.

"Your back is boney, though, so it hurts if I sit on you the wrong way." she complained with a whine, before falling back onto her rump in a sitting position, looking off towards the looming shapes of something or other in the distance.
