O.C.G Ottawa Cosplay Group
-named by Eru Roraito- The O.C.G originated from none other then my good friends and fellow Ottawan cosplayers. The Ottawa Cosplay Group consists of Ottawa cosplayers and in the area (Rockland, Orleans, Kanata etc.) who cosplay on a daily basis. REALLY daily basis. We go out and cosplay as often as we can! WE ARE IMPATIENT FOR ANIME CONS COMING UP! Do it now we say!
But even then, cosplay is like an everyday thing to us. It isn't JUST a hobby where we only wear our cosplays to Anime Conventions...like mentioned, cosplay is done on a daily basis. I mean, I can say I've woken up on mornings and right away grabbed my Sasuke costume and went to school in that, my friend Autumn can OFFICIALLY say she has dressed up as L countless times to school and that one group of people who LOVE to wear their Naruto headbands to school...
YOU ARE NOT COOL IF YOU DON'T WEAR YOUR NARUTO HEADBAND IN GYM CLASS! Yes, kind of like that. ((But some schools here have banned those things because it is some 'gangster' thing...those bastards...))
Anyway, back to history of the O.C.G.
I guess I can say it slowly developed in late April of 2006...SLOWLY developed as we did have random cosplay outings back then.
But what kickstarted the OC.G was 'The Naruto Live-Action Role-Play' in August 2006. It was a great success and lasted 3-days with 20 different Naruto character RP'ers. This summer in July 2007, we have a new LARP in planning, and so far everything is going well.
arrow May 2006 Not only had Anime North which some of us attended, but quite a few outings too.
arrow Summer of 2006 (mostly June-July) Held alot of outings, but unfortunatey not many were recorded. But there are a few pictures ^-^ arrow August 2006 Had the first annual Otaku Picnic in Ottawa created by my good friend Sandra. Some of us O.C.G members attended this. arrow October 2006 We had our last Naruto get-together before we started onto our new theme for this year, which has definately already started, as you will be able to tell from pictures of our recent outings. Can you guess what our theme this year is? arrow November 2006 Was the Anime Convention 'Ac-Cubed' which we definately attended. We danced and cheered for an Anime Con finally came...and went so fast. ((Another long year to wait for the next one T.T)) arrow December 2006 Was an incredulous month for us. We were out almost every weekend. But for most of the times, since it is winter and all and not quite that warm, we 'loitered' and 'raided' movie theatres ((ahahaha Borat was so funny at that one outing!) and shoppings malls...and we cannot forget about Temptation Tea Shop for our Bubble Tea. Oh man, it is now a ritual to go there for Bubble Tea at each outing...yummy Bubble Tea is delicious! arrow January 2007 It seems our random cosplay outings are increasing ever more. Instead of being every 2 weeks...this month it has been like, every week. Our New Years Eve outing was really great, a good amount of people showed up for that. The 13th was more of a spontaneous act in hopes to corrupt and convert my non-anime cousin to the awesome freakish-ness of the Anime World and Cosplay! Mission: FAILED ((I Tried))
The 20th held our Deathnote Gathering and the 29th will be the event of the month, Cosplay Bowling! arrow February 2007 What does this month have in hold for us!? Well, we DO have the V-Dance and I have my date *wink*

I made the O.C.G Official! XD I even came up with the name X_x That guy was so laughing at me when he heard me say my O.C.G idea at the Comic Book Shoppe.
there may have been a lot of roleplaying last year but noone ever thought of making it an organization or official group! Loveth my random ideas.
Kudos to me lol
As I posted in the O.C.G guild I was thinking of getting us to get t-shirts made. Just go to a place where they press on pics and letters and stuff and get the letters "O" "C" and "G"
tis like bout 20 bucks I think.

No I can't make it... I'm busy X2 this week-end... 2 things on satur day and I'm finishing the 2nd thing on sunday... DX
AND I think your both nuts! I personally don't have 20 bucks... >< Totally sucks because thats an awesome Idea!
