For the last GODDAMN time!
Edit: It's not a matter of selling out for public status or how they actually get paid now or something. They just... I hear them so GODDAMN MUCH that I can't even catagorize them as something I can sit and enjoy for more than two minutes without throwing tantrum.
So before you jump down my throat about it, two things: 1. I don't care. 2. Shut up and get out of the guild right now.
I'm not in the mood to argue with you. Either agree or disagree, but I'll kick your a** if you pick a fight with me.
Discuss.

A friend of mine likes Death Cab alot, and he's never described them asIndie. I've only heard a couple of samples, so I wouldn't know myself. they sound pretty nice though.

Some of there lesser played stuff is really good. Not my favorite band, I do get sick of them pretty fast. They are good live too.

So don't listen to them?
I'm not much of a fan of D.C.F.C. Most of their stuff is a bit just way on the mellow side for me.

In all honesty, does it really matter?
No.
They do a sweet cover of Malvina Reynold's "Little Boxes."
I don't really care for them otherwise.

I think I like Postal Service a lot more than Death Cab.
In any event, even if a band has kind of ended up mainstream, you shouldn't dislike them because of that. If they are good then you should be proud to like them, however many albums they've sold, or weather they are indie or not. If how underground a band is is your criteria then I would say your a snob.
