This is Highwire, an RP based on the world from my story of the same name. For this reason, I ask you not to use anything, absolutely anything from this RP's environment, including any character names I make. I will hunt you down ninja . Okydokee, boring stuff aside, let's begin!!!! It might look like a lot to read, but you'll find yourself well entertained I bet.

Just like the story, it starts off in Earth. The feeling will remind you of a CSI, Law and Order type show. The main set is somewhere near New York City. Here, there's a big circus, entertaining the masses with some of the most talented clowns there ever was. One of the main acts... is the Highwire.
Also here is a kind of underground, mob boss situation. A very rich person referred to as "Mr. Low" has lent out large sums of money to numerous people, and when they don't come forward on their end of the deal... well, he has people for that.

Your two character type options here are Clown/Circus Worker, and Assassin. The emotional quality of the circus is very bright, where the quality for the assassins is very dark and cold.

Now, just like the story... it doesn't stay on Earth. You all have a secret, whether you know it or not, that connects you to the Otherworld. I'm excited just thinking about it!

The Otherworld is a land like that of your weirdest dreams, the depth, beauty, and freakishness of which is so hard to describe in words. This place has very fascinating races which dominate certain areas of the map, but they are mixed almost everywhere besides the Island.

Payle Seers - Payles are the closest things to humans. Seers have very pale skin most of the time, very slanty bright colored eyes, and pale blonde to white hair. Their powers are based on exact directness, whether it be blasting something or scrying into the future. They rule the west, and they have a palace near a capital city.

Payle Sages - Sages have soft brown skin most of the time, also slanty green or brown eyes, and black hair with the occasional streak of color. Their powers are based around change. Their kingdom of the east has been taken over by the terrible monster called The Three Kings, a three headed beast spreading its ill darkness over the whole Otherworld. The Sages are known to be all but extinct... but there are always secrets.

Chrakins - These are a race of people completely made of wood. Their faces are like moving masks, their bodies like wooden puppets. Intricate designs line their faces and chest plates. They live mostly in villages, surrounding themselves in the art of tiki, music, water (which they don't want to touch for fear of warping), and rhymes. Their powers are incantation and tiki (witch doctor) based.

Leapers - Leapers are very familiar to Payles, but are part frog. From the waist down they are formidably frog, with the frog skin trailing up their backs a ways. Their ears are like wide fins, and they have fins on some of their joints. They wear clothing in cities to fit in, but otherwise only wear what's necessary. Green Leapers prefer land but like water a lot and Blue Leapers are never really seen because they live in hidden underwater cities. Leaper powers are based around plants (something other powers struggle with) and healing.

You can make up your own fantastic creature if you want, but those are the most human.

Mercy: Pale seer (but she doesnt know it)
Works at the circus as a fortune tellor. She is completly blind, but has a mystic ability to tell where things are and where she is going (sorta like daredevil).

Lydia: human (but with a little Draconiarc blood. Draconiarcs are humanoid dragons, they stand upright on two legs and have hands. Strong Mages. Lydia doesnt know of her Draconiarc relations. and yes, i just made them up x3)
She is an assasains. drag all the information out of the victums, then kill. She tends to shoot a crippling blow with her gun, plated silver with three rotating barrles (like vincent's gun), but kills using her long katana (dragon whitegold hilt design, prolly draw a piiccy later). She tends stab the vitum in the heart. She leaves no trace of her killing accpet the dead body. everyhthing else will seem so eriely normal, it tends to scare people more than a gorey crime scene.
One day she fought an enemy quite different. it would not die. She stabbed in in the heart, but it seemed to have the consistity of a tree. he walked towards her, speaking calmly. She sliced at it again and again trying to kill it. Finally she liced its head off, and the eyes stared back at her, she sliced the head in half, and ran of, its lasts words forever haunting her.
"Poor child who knows not who it kills nor who it is. It is alright, the Trees forgive you."
