I agree that the awards would be more valuable if it was converted into just one. But I don’t think there’s need to only have it once every quarter of the year. I think we’re able to pull it off on a monthly basis.
This is just a proposal, but I think it would be cool if that one award was called ‘Post-Whore of the Month’. And the deal is. The ones who want to participate in this competition has to donate a set amount of gold to our guild mule, and when they have done that, they’re put up on a list for the month’s award candidates. It should be deadline to enter the competition one day before it starts, and one should be able to enrol the next month’s competition halfway through (about 14-15th each month) the ongoing competition. The winner is of course the person on the list who has posted most on the board from the 1st to 31st (or 30th) that month. The winner will get either a set amount of gold, or an item, as well as a banner. In the Monthly Award sub-forum, we could also have a 'Hall of Fame', where we put up the names of those who have won.
Of course, it doesn’t have to be a money/item award, but I think that more people will be up for it if there’s an award to get beside from a banner. But award or not, people should have to enter the competition. It will be easier to count posts that way.
I also think that the monthly award thing should be put up on the Guild’s Home if we continue to have it, I personally think that more people will be keen on joining that way.
The reason behind having this award is of course to get more people to post.
Sorry for the rant; I hope that it made any sense, I’m not really good at explaining things — especially not in English.
