He sat there awaiting his coming visitor. Magdalena was sure to come in the next few minutes. This talk will be decisive and lengthy. He opened his desk drawer and then slowly drew a small box from it. He placed it on the middle of his desk. Afterwards he stood up and moved a chair in front of his desk. He then proceded to sit back down. He swiveled his chair(what a nice invention he had picked up from one of his "visits") around and listened for his door to open.

Nervous but gently, the woman knocked on her Captain's door before entering, to be polite. She left it slightly ajar, and stood in her place as she saw the man's face.
"Captain," she started.
She didn't know where to begin. She hadn't exactly planned this...But she had to say something before they got to the island. As soon as possible. It was rare that she was emotional, but she could feel it coming.
"Captain..." she repeated.
She lowered her head and softened her voice. "I have something to confess to you, that may be dishonorable in your eyes. And please, forgive my hypocrisy against Sam and Mirth. But I have broken the rule of treasure and secrets."
She couldn't dare to look up now, or he would begin his questioning. "What I'm saying is...I have failed to suppress my memories. My past is haunting me. As you know, I have been to Lesbos before."
Magdalena knelt to the floor, shaking. "I have not stepped foot on this ship empty handed. Physically, or mentally. I'm sorry to have lied. Within the drawer of my nightstand is an amulet and a potion, that I have selfishly hidden from you and the crew instead of sacrificing---offering it as protection for you all."
Her face was now flushed and a thin trail of a tear slid down her cheek. "I can explain."

With an ironic, unsuspected tone he replied:
"Go on..."
That tone also seemed one of dissapointment.

Blood was willing to listen. That was a start. Realizing the extent of her openess, Magdalena rose from the floor and retreated to her Lord's level like an adult, regaining her composure.
"When I was...I can't remember when, exactly...but younger, I went to Lesbos for some odd reason. I couldn't understand the nature of those people...those women. But before I left...something happened. They did something to me. And I had fallen in love with a beautiful young lady named Isa. She wanted me to save her and take her with me, but...I couldn't. I tried. The women had given me an amulet, and, thinking it was a gift, I took it home with me. I never told my guardian. Then, when I got home, a mysterious witch wouldn't leave me be until she 'reversed' the amulet. Along with that, she had given me a repelling potion, telling me that if I should ever return to the Isle, to use both."
She paused, feeling her heart beat so strongly that it felt like it'd go through her. It was embarassing, but it was the only way he'd understand. Hopefully, he'd take it that she'd have some tolerance at their destination, and with her previously gained knowledge, stay stronger and more aware. Unless of course...she came across Isa.
"It is all a blur. I still have dreams about the past...and the only vivid I see is Isa's face. I brought the protection, just in case. I have been afraid, and couldn't resist. Forgive me."
It wasn't all that bad, unless he'd decide to throw her overboard. He could possibly help her erase the mystery.

A silence filled the air as Magdalena waited for a reply. However, he was not willing to do so at the moment.
He gestured his hand as to have her arise and then started:
"Young one, you know true conviction. Then why is it that you tell me what I already know? Do you not know of my power at this point? You are but a child. You have yet to learn all that life has to teach. Do you understand? there is no reason punishing one for something they have already been punished for."
He stopped and closed his eyes with a laughing smile. He then opened them to start again:
"You say you had a love on the island. Obviously she was trying to recruit a new member to their society; children are hard to come by with their lifestyle. I have personal experience in recruiting and I think she did a meager effort to turn you to their side.
However, you are returning after all. So maybe they will try again? Pitiful humans, I will strike them down with my fury. But of course, I am not one for random violence. I think it will be best if you stayed on the ship during our visit at the island. If they see you, well... violence may resort.
It is bad enough one of ours is already willing to defect. She has no idea how much her mind will be twisted and disturbed by their ways. So look at yourself. Was your mind molded into their trap? You can stop them. You can not show yourself!"
He became serious in his speech. It seemed to be rambling. After all, not many members of the crew are good in conversation. He just wanted to put a lot on Magdalena's mind all at once to get her to follow his orders.
He once again closed his eyes; arms crossed.
"You must now be eager to speak. What is it you wish to say my child?"
