I like the ceremony of the Japanese. Just eh sheer respect they show for each other.

The original will always be the best. It's got a certain flair to it that the american version doesnt have.

Definately the original, everyones still Asian in the american version and the original was much more serious...
for us this means it was much much much funnier! rofl

I support Chairman Kaga - Japanese, Original version of Iron Chef.
It's much better, even though the American version is newer and has the Chairman's Nephew, it's still not the same. Lack of respect, traditional flair and the overall feeling of an actual battle whereas the American version just feels and looks like Ready Steady Cook.
((Besides, Iron Chef is one of the few Japanese shows that my Japanese Teacher will let us watch in class)).

I have to agree although I like both versions and Ready Steady Cook isnt that bad either lol I still think it has lost a little of its competitive nature
