PadawanCyn suggested it, and I agree.
If you need a beta for whatever, ask away right here. If you're willing to beta things, say so here. You can talk about whatever as long as you stay vaguely on the subject of betaing, or something like it. ^^
And for those of you who don't know what a beta is, it's basically someone who will read something of yours and edit it.
When in context to this guild, betaing is mainly for getting rid of the pesky grammar and spelling mistakes. The real critiquing occurs when you actually post it. MWAHAHAHA ... ... I enjoy verbally ripping things apart. ^^

I am so glad you explained what a "beta" is. I've never heard that term used for a proofreader before. Then again, I'm an old dog but willing to learn new tricks. blaugh
I used to do this for high school students for their MLA papers. It used to drive the students nuts but the results spoke for themselves. 3nodding
I urge EVERYONE to use a beta. SpellCheck is a wonderful innovation but it is unreliable for proofing major papers.

I love to edit - I shall be a beta. I have already done so on one of Cyn's works, and I'd be more than happy to help out anyone else who wants me to. Be careful, though - I show no mercy with my digital red pen! ^_^
