Gantor being a military country has a castle that is just unbreakable. Strong defenses and able to with stand massive attacks. THis is the closest castle to the Gods lands or creating the army.

Elrohir made his way to Fortitude Castle after a long journey from Armatura. After learning of the threat the Gods currently posed to the world, he decided to delay his search for Lorinan and join whatever efforts there were to resist the divine incursion. With this in mind, he sought to join the forces mustering to counter the Gods.

The last few days had seen the gods stepping up their attacts on the Gantorian countryside. Elrohir had assisted in covering the evacuation of the civilian population to safer regions of Farshia. However, he remained behind, intent on stopping the gods' advance further. To that end, he took command of a regiment of troops and began to make preparations to take the war to the gods. "Soon we shall see the twilight of the gods. Gotterdammerung is upon them."

Elrohir, finding that the mustering of Farshia's forces in Gantor was going smoothly, decided to take the opportunity to personally scout the gods' postition. Clothing himself in lightweight, dark clothing, he departed the camp, leaving things in the hands of his aide-de-campe. He had decided to go alone, since he did not wish to endanger anymore lives than neccessary, and he was merely thrust into command by circumstance; if he fell, one other would arise to lead the fight in Gantor.

Only a half-hour after leaving Fortitude Castle, he spotted the very reason he had first come to Farshia. He saw Lorinan traveling with a group of refugees heading toward Fortitude Castle. Learning from the refugees that the gods were on the move, he realized that he really should be at Fortitude looking to the castle defenses. Lorinan declined to remain with him in Gantor, as he had promised to escort the refugees al the way to the lake country near Armatura. Elrohir travelled with them back to Fortitude and saw them off. He was shocked that he had not been more emotional at the departure of the one he had come looking for. But until the world was safe, he could not really be relieved to see him. After all, if the gods had their own way, who knew what could happen.
Elrohir stalked along the battlements, examining the structure and defenses, making recommendations and requests to the engineers. He needed sturdier turrets to safeguard mages and archers, and improvments to the catapults, trebuchets, and ballistae. He realized that all this may not help in a battle with the gods, but it gave his men something to do while they waited for news.

Elrohir sat down after another tour of Fortitude Castle. He wished there was a pub so he could get a drink.

Elrohir's hussars and the remnats of the Gantorian Self-Defense Force entered the castle. Fortunately, the forest had slowed the pursuit of the gods. Elrohir quickly ordered the castle into full alert, expecting the gods to press the attack at any moment. However, there remained the matter of the many wounded Gantorian troops. They could not be tended to in the castle, since it would be a battlefield soon.
So, after concurring with his staff, Elrohir decided to relocate those wounded who could still travel to the pub that had appeared (apparently) sometime during his last battle.

In the days prior to the beginning of the gods' latest advance, Elrohir had prepared traps in the woods. Fortitude Castle sat in a forested gorge, and so access to the Castle could only come from one of two sides. Since the gods would be unable to lay siege to it, they could only hope to take it by storm. With this in mind, Elrohir had laid a variety of traps in the Castle approaches. These would slow down and reduce the gods' forces. Once the gods were in range, archers, spellcasters, javelineers, trebuchets, ballistae, and catapults would contribute to the defense. By the time the gods reached the castle, they would have to deal with the formidable fortifications and defenders.
(Members of the gods' forces attacking must roll a d10 and get above a five to get past the traps. Once they have, RP combat will continue as normal, no dice needed.)

Arianna had brought her troops to the castle she was no leader but she would stay for a little blood and a little sport. These gods had to much time on their hands to be playing with the lives of these foolish men and friends she had found here.

Elrohir approached Arianna's group and prepared to position them. "Lady Arianna, are your troops frontliners, horsemen, archers, or spellcasters?"

Arianna looked at the man " I believe these men are supposed to be sent to the frontline. More troops are to be coming soon."

Elrohir positioned the frontliners that Arianna had brought along the postern walls. It would be their duty to protect the archers, spellcasters, and engineers manning the long-range weapons in case the wall were mounted.
