3. Technical InfoTech stuff and other important crap... =3
I have a few things to put out there on the finer points of how Phase shift armor and battery limits will be dealt with in this Rp.
PHASE SHIFT ARMOR AND POWER USAGE
Phase Shift Armor (PSA) is a great little invention of the Gundam Seed universe, traditional swords and ballistic fire is rendered pretty much useless and it makes the MS all nice and colored...However... it has it’s limits... and rules that need to be (And will be) followed (Or else).
Until the N-Jammer Canceller Units came out,
EVERY mobile suit was powerd by UltraCompact Battery packs, this means a limited amount of operational time. I’m gonna base all my calculations off the Strike Gundam with the Aile Striker Pack Option, it’s a pretty good test bed for Basic MS operations. Now.. the nitty gritty...
EVERYTHING USES POWER, movement, weapons, thrusters, you name it. For a real time line basis if the Strike is standing still not moving with the PSA engaged, it should last about 2 hours. If it’s walking around no thrusters I give it 1h 45m, add thruster usage to that and it’s down to 1h 30m. it’s your firing the weapons, I give it an hour and 15 mins tops. Remember, every hit takes power away from your reserve so I’m giving, at max exertion, taking hits, evading, firing back and other general combat maneuvers, the strike should have about an hour max before it’s dead in the water. How this filters down to the Rp universe is combats should last about 4 posts a piece, anything more is stretching it just think, you need to factor in your combat maneuvers plus the change your taking hits and you need power enough to get back to your home ship if you survive, ere go the 4 post guide line, 4 posts for combat, 1 post for retreat.
For MS that do not have PSA (All Zaft MS save for their Gundams) follow the same 4 post format, just remember, your more vulnerable to attack, your safest in numbers and blitz like attacks.
FORMATION TID BITS
This is only really for the mass production MS (Zaft MS, the strike Daggers, Earth Federation Mobile Armors)
If your going into battle, think realistically, your not going to go out alone with no back up, no matter how great a pilot you are, standard attack teams consist of 3 units, the commanding officer and two subordinates. These groups are tightly knit and rarely separate (safety in numbers as they say).
The Gundams pretty much keep to them selves... but yeah for the Zaft Captured Gundams they seem to stick together with two to three subordinates a piece.
As you move up the ranks you may be rewarded with more units under your command, I’m thinking a fax of six total MS/MA.
Meh I’ll let people Rp as they want, if your stuck on something feel free to ask, my knowledge of fighter pilot lingo is pretty vast.... yeah...
