I awoke to the night sky shinning through my cottage window, only to realize that I was hungry again, but not just for food. I got dressed, I never wore much, just some old blue jeans I had found. After brushing my hair back and checking in on my friends, I took to the sky, looking for the meal I needed. This urge always burned inside me like a thousand suns, it always seemed to need quenching, but tonight it felt worse, so this night I scummed to the need.
I perched on a roof top and that's when I saw my pray, following for quite sometime, watching it's reactions to things. As it made it's way home, that's when I made my move, before she knew what hit her I had grabbed her and flown her away from the busy streets and to the secluded edges of my favorite park. Over six centuries the city had gone from a lovely forest in a valley, to this busy world, and the park was the only safe place to feed my desire anymore.
My pray was scared, almost crying, understandably as I pinned her to the ground and looked her over, as I straddled her waist. She was in her early twenties, twenty-three at the most I'd think. As I looked her over more closely, then my following her had allowed, I realized she was quite beautiful, perfect to feed my desire. She had long flowing blond hair with purple dyed strands running threw it and a few dyed blue strands that fell in front of her face. I stroked her face gently for a moment, one of her most beautiful features I noted. Her lips so tiny, but full and her eyes a dazzling green color that shimmed to shine in the night.
I flapped my wings once and showed my protruding canines as she struggled to get free, a simple trick that almost always made my victim freeze in their tracks. She whispered for me to please let her go, and truthfully I wished I could, but the hunger was too great tonight, and it could not be ignored, especially with her beauty laying before me.
Using the powers that were gifted upon me by my ancestors, though sometimes I believe it to be a curse for I know they are the cause of my hunger, I will the girls clothes off and they vanish. I kiss her a few times as she trembles in shock now, before I will off my only clothes off and to lay beside me. I quickly make use of my mental powers and pin her only with my mind to the ground.
An evil smile comes over me as I let the hunger take over. I am quick to take what I desire, clawing into her with my talons as i do, mentally making her screams and sobs of pain for my ears only.
After a few hours I get redressed, and I can see she hopes now only to live, but it is a hope I can not grant, for I have two sides of my hunger and have only filled one. I bend over her and whisper that I am sorry, for truly I am.
As she cries and begs me to let her go I pull her into my arms and whisper my remorse once more, before I bite into her neck and feed on her blood, draining her of all but the last drop, searching her mind as I do for faces of all that have met her.
I lay her down on the ground, her now dead body becoming colder by the second. I use my powers to destroy the body and for her family I erase all memory of her from their lives and from all that ever knew her. To everyone but me, she had never been born, for I will always remember her and the beauty that radiated from her.
I stand up and take to the sky again. Heading home to tend to my friends that were asleep when I left them, they are the only friends I have. My cottage is located in another park, a couple miles away from the park I feed in, hidden to all that pass by. I am lucky for my powers at times, cause to all that pass by, my house appears and is nothing but a giant rock embedded into the hill side.
As I fly home I think about the visitors I get in my park and how they amuse me every time they call my home 'Ape Mountain', for I guess this is how it is seen by all that are fooled by my powers. I have even watched a few climb my house from time to time, believing they are indeed scaling a cliff side. I believe this city has deemed my park Corriganville. The people of this town, amuse me if nothing else, which is why I don't feed on the people here very often.
