It is a world ruled by the Greek gods and godesses. Throughout the earth, all order and daily functions are maintained by these powerful deities, and so they were, until one fateful day.

No one mortal knows exactly what had happened, but one beautifully peaceful day, the skies grew dark and the earth shook tremendously. Waves grew tumultuous and devastating storms brewed everywhere. No sailor survived, and many on land met their demise as well. Some believe they were the lucky ones.

Moments later, after the storms had calmed, the Giants and Titans (who were thought the be kept in confinement) reappeared to wreak their havoc upon the earth. Humans cried out in hopes that some God or Goddess would hear their plight and save them, but none came. With no help from their deitieous protectors, the human population was overthrown easily. The Titans took over their cities and made a great majority of them slaves. A select few were able to escape from this tyranny, though few are able to survive in the now tumultuous wilderness, as it became filled with powerful and ghastly monsters.

For months, the people mourned on their troubles, and were bitter to the gods for not helping. They wondered how this could be so, until they finally realized with great shock: The gods and goddesses were gone. All of them, from the tops of Mt. Olympia to the Underworld, none were to be found. But how could that be? The inhabitants of all Olympia are immortal! They couldn''t just disappear or (wose yet) die like that, could they?

And that became the overwhelming mystery that puzzled these tortured souls as the tyrannous reign continued for the next couple of decades until a rumor began to fill the air. The Titans were getting anxious. Word had it that, before the gods'' mysterious disappearance, they put a type of (for lack of a better word) ''spell'' on a select few mortal children. Words were whispered that these mortals were born with their former deity''s powers and that, by the eighteenth year, they would become full-fledged gods/godesses. This rumor did not come around until seventeen years after the Titans'' reign began, so with great trepidation, the Titans knew that they would only have one year to locate these men and women before their rise to immortality. Thus, the Titans began a horrific search throughout all the remaining villages, destroying and killing every teenaged being in the vicinity. Some escaped, some did not. But those fateful beings that indeed had those powers knew at least one thing: they had to get to Mount Olympus. It was the only place where they''d be truly safe from the Titans'' reign. Thus, their story begins.
