What's the best way to re-watch the series of both Hercules and Xena? Or the first time to watch it?
Would it be to watch Hercules up to season 3, then start watching Xena (like how everything was aired first) and from there you start watching one or two episodes of each series interchangably?
Or would it be better to just watch any series first and then when you're done with that one, watch the other? That would be kind of hard because some of the events interlope with each other.
What do you think is the best way to watch?

I'd say watch one whole series first, then the other. That way you don't forget which season you're on for whatever series. But that's just me... rofl mrgreen

Heh, by the time I wrote the first post I was already on season 3 of Xena. The episode where Xena had to use Callisto to fight against Velaska. When Callisto started talking to the rat I realized that I probably should've watched Hercules first.
Honestly though, I like Xena better than Hercules ._.

I think it's best to watch how they originally aired. Both series make mention of incidents that only happened in the other show.
Like when in 'Xena' they say Callisto killed Strife. Now, I've seen the 'Hercules' series, but someone who hasn't probably wonders, "Who's Strife? "

Sorry if I'm spoiling anything, but I would suggest watching Hercules up until Xena arrives first. Then jump over to Xena. There are only a few events that cross over between episodes: Xena's transformation to good, the events of Hope, the murder of Hercules' bride, Calisto's revival, the Armageddon episodes [on Hercules], and the story of Dahalk. After the Dahalk story comes to an end, you can watch Hercules all of the way through without jumping back to Xena and vice versa.
I watched Xena's first 3 episodes on Hercules and then her series all of the way through first.

Ooh, I like the idea of watching both series at once. 3nodding I've been doing each at a time, but I remember the good ol' days when they'd air on TV one after the other... *sigh*
Good times, good times. heart

watching them the way they aired makes sense. because, the whole callisto thing gets confusing, because she dies in xena at one point, only to reappear in hercules... to reappear in xena without ever telling you the stuff that happened in hercules.

I watched Xena seasons 3, 2, 1, 6, 4, 5.
I didn't plan on watching them that way. Those were the ones available at the time.
Anyways, I liked that order. By the time I watched Season 6, I already looked up spoilers that Xena dies. So i was glad to get that finale episode over and go on from there.
I sadly have only watched one episode of Hercules.

If you keep yourself occupied with something while watching an episode you already saw, then it's possible that it could help to distract you from remembering what is going to happen, however it dulls the impact.
