OK. I'm starting to think I hallucinated this, but there was a filler series of cartoons called Funnybones.
It featured three skeletons, Big, Little, and Dog. And they lived in a dark, dark cellar, in a dark, dark house, down a dark, dark street. Does anybody else remember this? I believe there were some books adapted from it as well.

Mass hallucination of a five-minute cartoon about skeletons, perhaps? Weird. But I notice Simon Pegg is in your signature, and I like that a lot.

In a dark, dark town, there is a dark, dark street. In the dark, dark street, there is a dark, dark house. In the dark, dark house, there are some dark, dark stairs and down the dark, dark stairs, some skeletons live.
Yes, I remember it!

my local library still has Funnybones books. I think I read them all when I was little. I loved the show too.

I don't remember the books, but I can vaguely remember the show. I can go as far as three charcters in a house but don't remember the major plotline......
