Okay, I'm sure you guys know about this dude, but how do you beat the guy?! He's the little wood elf, who asks you for money, but when you say no, he says that you'll regret it! So... When I left the temple district in Godsreach, and went back to do another mission, the little bugger was decked out in full Ebony armor, and no matter what, my level 54 WoodElf archer couldn't do a damned thing! How do you beat him?! crying

I had trouble beating him too. If you are good as marksmenship then going from the temple to the elf turn left and go to the mini-park like area, there should be a rock, practice jumping up there and when you think you got it, go fight him. If you do it right he will keep running into the rock and can't get up, use arrows to kill him, try not to use magic he has some king of reflecting spell or armor, If this doesn't work you could try the same concept in the water area. This is what I did and hope it helps.

I avoided him for a bit with my lvl. 17 before I cracked. I stocked up on max health potions and strength potions (Boosting my strength to 600 and some) and went in with Trueflame or some sword of that sort. It took about eight minutes, but he did go down at some point.

100% Weakness to fire 100 Fire Damage.
Jump on a high area he can't get and cast away!
If that don't work just use treuflame.

I gave that little b*****d 10,000 gold. Then he came back and tried to kill me? I gave him a nice taste of Sunder and put his armor on E-Bay.

I wanted to see what happened if i paid him the million gold he asks for so i used the inf. dremora summon near the mudcrab in morrowind and sold him all the daedric weapons i got till i had enough. I went and tried to give it to him but he called me a liar and went off the rotten b*****d. What am i supposed to spend 1 mil on?

ninja I hate actually having 1 million gold and he rejects it. His LARGE loss. Anyway, I forgot how I killed him but I used throwing stars from atop a high place. (Sorry, but my memory of him is vague.) ninja

The guards in morrowind will only help you if your being attacked by a creature coded as a creature. Which is laaaaaaame.
If you have a PC, throw open the console (the tilde key right above the tab button on your keyboard '~'), and click on the damn elf. Then type in the following
sethealth->1
He will now have only 1 HP, letting you still be able to technically 'kill him' so that you can finish the quest. If you set his health to 0, then you technically didn't kill him.
That's what I did for PC, but now I'm worried what I'm going to do about the console version.
