Kim (TheRedWolf_13) and myself are celebrating our 2nd anniverary tomorrow. It feels like the past few years have really slipped on by. I still can't beleive we got Immagrations settled and we just received Kim's Permenant Residency card just the other week so we have no worries about her being kicked out, for those of you who don't know Kim is from Rhode Island, USA and I'm from Toronto, On, Canada. She moved out here to live with me in Aug 2004 and we got married on Jan 29th 2005, exactly one year after we met online. So that would mean we have known each other 3 years as of the newmorrow and been married Two *grins*
I love you my sweetie. Always and forever.
Just wanted to tell everyone.

Firescares Who proposed and did you go anywhere for a honeymoon? I proposed, in an rather acward way... And we didn't go on a honey moon persay because we didn't have the money too. So the Roomie left for friends for a week so we could have the place to ourselves. *grins* We plan to goto Naiagra Falls once everything is settled more. Kat

Kat Well if its too personal you don't have to share but I'm interested as to how you went about the proposal, I don't know how i'd feel about having to deal with a roomate being married and settled, its tough enough as is to get some "alone time" without the threat of knocks on the door to borrow crap and go places

I gave it to her one morning in a stammered gesture of friendship and love. We had already planned for her to come out to live with me for a few months to see how things worked out, I just wanted her to have a ring to express my love and show her I was serious about all of this. The roomie is a pain in the a**, to put it nicely. Neither of us, Kim or myself, wanted to leave Toronto so we had to stuck with him until we got immagrations and Disablity settled before we can move out on our own. We finally got everything sorted out and will be leaving him in another year or so. We both want to have a 2nd wedding and the like since the first one was rather small due to us having very little money. Maybe around our 5th year anniversary or something. We don't really care about the wedding thing, as long as we are together. I mean when we picked out our wedding date we were laying in bed thinking over what date would be best and we choose the first day Kim messaged me online as the date. It took us only 2 months to plan everything and it was rushed because her mother kept calling wondering when it would be. I remember getting home from getting the licence paper work filled out to have mom call us and ask when the offical wedding was. We had not yet lined things up with the chapel so I was sent right back out to pay for the chapel and the moment I got home I had to call mom to tell her the date was settled, then I finally got some sleep. Weddings are hectic. More so when your mother is calling every second to make sure everything is set up. She even took us to Walmart to find gay wedding accessories. We had to remind her that you can't get lesbian related things in Walmart so we went to Church Street, gay central, to find the cake toppers and the like. It was insane and rather memorble. Sorry to ramble. jaa ne Kat

rofl Suggesting Walmart for gay accessories, that is about the funniest thing i've heard all week just because i'm sure she sincerely thought they might have some.
With Krys and I its kinda strange like, I REALLY want to get married cause its important to me that my family recognizes our relationship and knows how serious and dedicated we are, but for her she is more like you guys and the whole, "well its our love thats important" I hope every day that gay marriages will be an accepted thing nationwide in the U.S. its just not right that we should have to escape to a different country to be treated equally.
Oh well, Its sure nice to hear about a happy married lesbian couple though I've literally only known or heard about like 2 homosexual people total my whole life
You guys ever plan on kids or adopting or anything?

Oh well, Its sure nice to hear about a happy married lesbian couple though I've literally only known or heard about like 2 homosexual people total my whole life You guys ever plan on kids or adopting or anything? The most embaressing part of the trip around town for Wedding stuff was trying to figure out how to get her to stay in the care while we ran into a sex shop for some toys for the honey moon. We thought she would want to come into the woman's sex shop with us of all things, but she was so worn out after running around town that she stayed in the car while we went into the story. Talk about embaressing. Atleast she did not ask what was in the bag when we returned. *blushes* I was it was acceptable everywhere too. It is nice that Kim's family is rather accepting. I think they only thing they didn't like was the fact that I was taking the youngest of the family away to Canada, Kim is the youngest of 4 siblings none of which were married at the time. I've met many married gay couples since being in Toronto. There was a group I used to go to where several of the lesbians were married with childern. Kim and I want kids, but Kim does not want to adopt. It is complicated, but we are seeing what we can do. She is off and on about children and wants one that is both of our blood... We've had several long talks about what we are planning to do about childern. It is a slightly touchy subject mind you. Well, jaa ne Kat
