if you think about it there is no reason to hate gaara cause there is nothing annoyimg about him i mean naruto has that annoying beleive it and neji with his its your destiny dont forget sasuke with his dumb attitude with i can do it by myself and gaara there is no annoying thing about him it is all insane and psycho and insane and psycho are awesome burning_eyes

I know some people who hate Gaara. . . . . . but hey, thats their choice. . . . Sasuke isnt that bad. . . . And I think Neji stopped with that attitude after he got beaten by Naruto. . . . .ehh. . . .well. . .Naruto. . . .he's. . . . . . . . ..ok.

I'll be quite...I originally HATED Gaara...he seemed like sasuke, with a natural abilty to control sand and he always acted like a p***k...but when they explained his reasoning for doing all this I immediately understood...gaara was lonely in the beginning, and go back and watch the Gaara vs lee fight...that was sorrow in Gaara's eyes at the end of the fight, not hatred... Gaara started off as a jerk, because the one thing he lacked was love...which was shown by that cursed mark on his head...but now, much later in the series, he gains all his power from that same symbol...he gains all his strength from the love of others...this is why Gaara is a favourite of mine, and is what makes him venerable... NOT all that killing and arrogance bs...we have sasuke and itachi already to fill in those parts of the show...

You forget that there are many decent reasons to hate Gaara... Gaara ruined Lee's fighting ability, Gaara killed many people (although most were deserving of it), Gaara tried to kill lee in his sleep, and Gaara attacked the leaf village. All of these are good reasons to hate Gaara....but there's a flipside to this... Gaara protected lee from kimimaro, Gaara began protecting the innocent (naruto movie 2 for example), Gaara began to respect others, and not hate, and Gaara fought using taijutsu, even though that's his weakest ability...Gaara fought without fear...In episode 220, Gaara supressed shukaku because he feared it would hurt his friends... Gaara had been stripped of his sand armor during this battle, and yet, he fought without fear... these are all good reasons to like Gaara... but think about it... choosing to like Gaara is a preference...you are not evil if you hate Gaara, but you are a fool if you cannot defend your views... choosing to hate or love Gaara is a choice...remember that...

Its not Gaaras fault that he kills for pleasure (although i really like that about him). His father and Uncle had to do with it too.

It's all on the angle you choose to look at it...but don't hate the people who hate Gaara, because they have valid reasons too...just like you guys and I have reasons to overlook Gaara's flaws... I for one think Gaara is the best character specifically because of all the challenges he faces, and how he overcomes them... Gaara and Lee are very much the same in many ways... you'd be surprised...

the main reason a char is hated tho is because of their fans
since gaara has alot o fans he is more likely 2 b hated

i agree with all of you.and i understand perfectly what your explaining here Gaara is lonly.but as i see it the people that do hate gaara arnt thinking to hard about it first.

oh god my sis is freaked out when she sees him! espeically* the chuin* excame when he fights lee. she hates the tongue thing. but i <3 him hes cool
