Everyone loves smoothies, well, so it seems. They are good for you, and taste good.
Post your favorite kind of smoothies here, and maybe the recipe to them. <3

Bananers and oranges. I love those smoothies. <333
You put in one banana, one orange, and 1 and 1/2 cup of whatever kind of milk you drink. Then, you grind it up, till it's smoothe, then you add in 4 or five ice cubes.

Okay. Well, I am only 15 and I was experimenting in the kitchen about 20 mins ago right? And I started a smoothie. With no Sugar. Here is what I did. 1 1/4 Cup frozen Fruits. ( Mine were Pineaplles-Mango-Peach and Kiwi) 2 Teaspoons of Strawberry Jam. 2 Handfulls of Grapes. Have an apple sliced. 3 Ice Cubes. 1/2 Cup Milk.
Try that! I had all the skins on my apples. So, there is a pulp you could say. If you don't like Kiwis change it up a bit. I don't like them, thats where all the fresh fruits came from. ;o; You can also add or take away milk from it. domokun Enjoy!

Who knows if this is healthy.
I got some crushed ice in the blender, then added a splash of orange juice. I added a container of Yoplait Yogurt and half a banana. Then I added like 3 small strawberries and a couple of raspberries.
It tastes fantastic. I'd say it's pretty darn healthy, I just don't know how many calories was in it.

I can't really count the calories on this, but
THE RANDOM SMOOTHIE MADE OF CRAP IN MY REFRIDGERATOR.
1 handful of frozen blueberries 3-5 Strawberries (I had really fat ones) 1 cup yogurt of your fancy (I used colombo strawberry kiwi) A splash of OJ A spash of Cranberry-grape juice Two spashes of any milk or soy milk of your choice (do not recommend chocolate) Ice Anndd....one cherry tomato. I'm serious. Gives you a nice tiny boost on your vegtables and you can't taste it at all. It also lets you hit three food groups at once.
This really helps me since I HATE milk plain. Instead of adding artificial sugars and sweeteners with chocolate or strawberry syrup, this makes it much more natural and loaded with vitamins as well so I can get my dairy in plus.

Hmm I love smoothies!
I don't have a specific recipe for smoothies but I look around the kitchen and throw in whatever fruit I have!
I tend to have more frozen fruits in the house so I use:
frozen strawberrys frozen blueberryes Banana apple? (sometimes i add alittle apple juice) Some nonfat yogurt (any flavor, i use vanilla) ice is optional and blend away!! EDIT: I also add a tad of maple surup! Makes it just sweet enough. I never buy maple surup from stores, their fake and LOADED with sugar and cornsurup. My mom works with a guy that taps and produces his own pure maple surup! if you get teh chance buy some! it works great is all cooking and is better then jsut plain sugar!
This works for if you dont have alot of food in the house (happens to me alot) or on teh go and need a quick smoothie. It tastes amazing, its healthy and its nice and thick <3 (blend longer if you want it runnyer.) Good luck! i'll post more smoothie ideas later

Smoothies are amazing, I have one for brekkie every morning. Here's how I make them: Some fat free, plain yougurt a banana any kind of fresh fruit (my favourite is strawberries and rasberries) and ice. Then you blend it all together to your preferred consistancy.
smoothies are also great for an afterschool snack.

That's interesting. I hate tomatoes but I bet in the smoothie I wouldn't be able to taste them. I will have to try it out! Thanks for the idea!

I've been doing smoothies for breakfast lately. No idea what the calorie count is. xd I call them my "freezer berry" smoothies.
It's pretty easy to make. 2-4 handfulls of frozen berries (any kind) enough milk to cover the berries (about 2-3 cups, more or less depending on how thick you like your smoothies.) I use 1% milk 1/4 cup sugar (use more or less to taste, I've found it needs a small amount of sugar otherwise it just tastes like weird milk. xd ) Toss it all in a blender, turn it on high until all smooth, pour into favorite glass and enjoy!

I love making fruit smoothies! I don't like milk much, though, so mine are more ice-based than milk-based.
I'm sure that there's already a few recipes up like mine, but oh well.
Oh, and I don't really know the exact measurements for mine so... sorry! D:
Fruit Smoothie Recipe (1 large serving) 4 - 5 ice cubes 2/3 - 3/4 cup fresh or frozen berries or other fruit 1 - 2 tablespoons milk 2 - 3 tablespoons plain or fruit yogurt 2 teaspoons sugar (more or less depending on preferences)
Just blend it all and enjoy! xD <3

After looking at this thread, I was inspired to try and make my own recipe ^___^ I've been drinking a smoothie every morning for breakfast, and it tastes much better than my regular cereal in my opinion!
What I've been doing -- not much, but it tastes good I think. ^^
1 banana Yogurt (one of those small cups you can get in a 12 pack or something, mine was fat-free from Silhouette) 1 cup 0% milk, or however much you feel it needs - I just pour till it feels right, haha. Some ice cubes
And mix away! It's really simple. xd
