- After much deliberation, we've come to a final decision.
The Gaians at Florida Conventions guild will be dissolved on February 19, 2007, directly following MegaCon. In it's place two things have come about:
First, a new MetroCon guild. If you are intested in joining, please contact Chief-Chan.
Secondly, a new subforum has been created for the other conventions in the Gaians of Florida guild.
Over the next week or so, I will be inviting active members of this guild to join the Florida guild, or you can click the above link and request to join on your own.
We believe this will be more beneficial in overall promotion of the conventions and meetups. We will continue working with Gaians Attacking Florida Conventions, but as in the past, the meetup planning will happen in the guilds.
In order to facilitate the conversion of these guilds, we will begin locking threads in which discussion should be moved to the appropriate new location. Any new threads pertaining to any convention other than MegaCon will immediately be locked.
As we cannot copy threads from one guild to another, the guild will remain open for viewing for one month after the dissolution for purposes of saving memories.
We apologize for the inconvenience of the transition but feel this is the best move in promotion of conventions and facilitation of meetups.
It's been great fun and we look forward to seeing you in the other guilds!
