I am having a candy/chocolate/sweet craving. It does not help that I am currently fending off the Christmas candy I KNOW is in the pantry. Especially when it is my favorite watermelon licorice sticks....

Any ideas for slightly healthier alternatives that I can satisfy my crave with?

Hm, have any fruits you like around the house? Strawberries are a nice fix when I start craving teh sweet stuffs. whee And having candy and such is fine, so long as it's in moderation and whatnot. ^^ A little bit can help out too so you don't binge on it at a moment of weakness.

If it's your candy, then maybe throw alot or some of it away and keep a little. Maybe have a small piece to cut cravings. But not too much. ;P

A tea or other hot drink with sugar subsitute can help fend off cravings, you're still getting the sugar but without the added calories of food.

When I get those sugar attacks I usually drink sweetened coffee/tea. If I feel the need to actually eat, bananas are great. I usually add it in cereals in the morning because that is when I am most prone for a sweet tooth.
Also, try sugarless jello. It's pretty sweet and tastes very close to normal jello.

are you actually hungry or just craving..? if you have one of those nagging it wont go away unless u eat what you want cravings for chocolate or sugar............then have some hot chocolate!!!! though its not that healthy...its better than regular chocolate and candy and as long as you dont put anythin, and i mean anythin, in it u should be okay..it satisfys that craving.....but be sure to do an extra lap around the gym in the morning! if its just some random craving that something sweet will satisfy.......u could always try those 100-calorie low sugar low fat snacks......they're yummy.....but only have one! And if you have none...eat a sweet fruit like strawberrys or pineapple..........And no matter what you have unless its fruit make sure to do an extra lap or an extra song on DDR!
