Okay, so some of you may or may not know this, but My Chemical Romance are headlining the Download Festival 2007. Some of you may be thinking, "Wtf? Why does that make you want to scream!?" Let me explain it to you my dear friends.
Download has usuallly been a festival for Heavy Metal bands to go to and my best friend has two brothers, one aged 18 and one aged 21. They are both really hardcore heavy metal fans. Although the one aged 18 did download Famous Last Words....but he has probably deleted it now. Last night, the one aged 18 came stomping down to my best friend's room and said this...
Him: "Why the hell do you and Katie buy those crappy My Chemical Romance CDs!?"
Diane [My friend]: "Well, I don't buy them. Katie does.
Him: "STILL!"
Then he stomped out. Then Diane went to ask what was going on. And the one aged 21 said that My Chem are headlining download and it's all the stupid emo f**'s faults. He also said people had said on forums somewhere that they are going to bottle My Chem so bad they'll never forget it. And one other person said it's be for their own safety not to go.
Then Diane told me that her brothers were up all last night making fun off My Chem and slagging off emos. Now does it make you want to scream? And I have to face these two on Saturday. Pity me. Pity me greatly.
Some heavy metal fans, [[the one aged 21 for sure]] thinks that, if you don't like heavy metal, you shouldn't have any taste in music what so ever. If it's not heavy metal, it's nothing.
So....I kinda don't want My Chem to go. For their own safety, know what I mean? This may sound weird or whatever but....
I just don't want the boys to get hurt. emo
Oh, and I didn't use my friend's brothers name's because I think they use Gaia. I know they probably couldn't read this....but for my own health and safety.... ninja

Wow, that sucks. My parents hate MCR as much as they hate metal, and my lil' sis says that when I sing along to my ipod, I give her nitemares ( I still haven't figured out if its my singing or MCR's lyrics, but still.)

I know, I was shocked that they were headling this after I found out in kerrang.
DAMMIT why O why must I have A-level exams the day after download weekend emo
would love to go, but am spending all of my current money on Give It A name weekend tickets xD
I think that my chem can hopefully survive download, they did two years ago, not bottled or nothin, and you get the occasionally 'poppier' band and they don't get too trashed by the crowd.
Hopefully after reading, they can be prepared for it.....if not i will personally drive up there and kick some metal-fags a**!

Most people I know think MCR is rediculous...but bottle-ing? Thats just taking it too far- respect is necessary to continue as people

wouldnt be the first time they got bottled, but it seems a little more violent then reading was, download fans are already pissed.

Oh, wow. o.<;;
I'm actually an 'emo / metal f**' ....
So I'd most likely enjoy it, and stick up for all the bands. xD
Get knocked around a lot by die hard metal fans, but who gives a damn? I mean I'm a die hard metal fan too, I can like any music genre I want!

What's kinda scary is I know/used to hang out with a group of people like that - the "if it's not metal, it's not music" types, one of whom actually did throw a bottle at Gerard at a... oh what's the name of it... that big summer concert festival thingummus.... ugh, brain fart... you know what I mean... the ones where Gerard was drunk off his a** before he got sober... and Frank with the showering outside thing...
Anyway, the only thing I have to say about that group of numbskulls is:

Too much too late or just not enough of this Apparently, they got bottled AND someone threw a inflatable axe at them surprised This close | | away from missing Frank's foot, my guitar teacher says that My Chemical Romance is a dangerous band to listen to, don't ask why, i don't acctually know myself.
