Not specifically the most powerful, but the gear you most often equipped your characters with. Everyone has a favorite, right?
Alternately, we can talk about the most annoying weapon/skill/item that you ever had to get, be it a secret item or common knowledge.
If this is somehow a repeat thread, feel free to wipe it from the Guild.
As for me, the favorite gear in Phantasia consisted of non-elemental or light-based weapons. I tended to avoid Dark weapons, as I seemed to encounter enemies that absorbed it rather frequently...
In Symphonia, I liked the Joke weapons, though they were a pain to get.

Always the longsword for me. Not becuz nearly all tales main character uses it but i take kendo and im pretty good with swords myself.

We need more axe-wielding characters, that actually specialize in it. I hate Presea, so count her out already. That makes... Loni? Barbatos isn't playable sooo...
And yes, I like axes. I came to actually realize that when most of my units in FE use axes, and my favorite character from the Rockman.EXE manga is actaully Tomahawkman, XDXD.
So yeah. Axes!! Spears are for losers who need to adjust their glasses, =P.

Hmm...personally, I like long swords. Sephiroth-long XD But it must be hard to carry...oh well ;D
After that, gunners DX Why is the only gunner in TotA an enemy?! I think the only one was...that one guy from Eternia!

Pretty much all of Anise's dolls (HAROLD XD-Kuro missed this the first time. Gah.)

Anise's dolls are really cool. I like many of the cameo ones, Cless and the Prince, namely. xD I can't figure out who the Great Pirate and the Time Traveling Girl dolls are supposed to be. (Hasn't played all Tales games yet - forgive me.)
But, of course, the roses that Zelos weilds in his formal costume are hilarious.

I personaly like katanas. The only char that has used a katana (or close to it) is Guy in TOA. There might be others, but I havent seen them sweatdrop .

Cless used katanas, and I believe Suzu did too.
My favorite weapon is Jade's Pointer. Too bad you actually don't see much of it 'cause of the whole disappearing thing.

And Time Traveling Girl is Reala. (Destiny 2)
But I mainly like Staffs and Swords.
And I do favor Anise's Dolls as well.

By the way, this is a little off topic, so forgive me, but aren't the Tales of -- games made by the same people who made the Star Ocean games? There are a lot of similarities between the two...

Tri-Ace developed Star Ocean while Namco Tales Studio developed the Tales series.

I prefer to use axes for battle, fists are fun to use though too biggrin
I'm trying to beat Phantasia mad p and where I am so far I only have a summoner, magic user, healer, and swords. So, out of those I would prefer to be the magic user.

I'd say my favorite weapon class would be the bow. <3
As for my actual favorite weapon, the Elven Bow has never let me down, pretty and powerful. >>;

Although the ninja class using a sword doesn't give me much trouble either.
Especially with that wicked air combo.
I use classes like Fighter (Senel works really well for me), or ninja (Reid in Eternia works as well, since in that game he was WICKED fast.)
I'm the dude that goes up and bashes.

I always prefer to have swords, mostly because I'm -used- to them. Short swords, longswords, and twin swords all do work.
Though I can do axes, and I don't do too bad when in control of Anise. ^_^; I'm pretty good at Anise, even her spells.
...because I am the WORST spellcaster in history. -_-; No seriously. Even in games that are turn-based, I just use "attack" and "heal" and stuff like that. o.o; I've never been big on abusing my MP/TP/whathaveyou.
Though I can, for some odd reason, use it up for Skills. >.>; Go figure.
I suck as a cleric/priest and a mage. >.<
