A grand ball-like room, a place where all students run into old friends and new students make new friends on their first night and day there.
Upon entry one awes at the floating candle lit and enchanted ceiling, enchanted in a way one may see the starry sky above. There are four rows of long sturdy tables, each with equally long benches. Slytherin table is against one of the walls, to the left side, next to its table surprisingly is the Gryffindor. On the right side, is Ravenclaw and against the right wall Hufflepuff. At the end of the hall is a long horizontal table, where staff, either be teacher, caretaker, nurse or headmaster or mistress, sit and share stories about their day. Above the main table are five banners, four which represent the different houses: a Sliver Snake for Slytherin; a Golden Lion for Gryffindor; a Blue Falcon for Ravenclaw; and a Black Badger for Hufflepuff, Whilst the middle banner has the school's logo of a grand H surrounded by the very same animals of the houses. It is here where the sorting will take place. First we hear it's new song of the year, describing each houses traits as it does and yet also on how the houses should unite and work together. After it's song is complete, a speech is heard regarding school rules and any important announcements. Then the feast begins. The Great Hall is used for various occasions, balls, parties and also a shelter if ever necessary.
