Lightning Fields
An enormous rocky field with large spans of short, yellowed grass separated in random patches under a dark, rumbling sky. Large formations of rock stab their way through the otherwise flat surface of the training ground. There is little vegetation here, other than dead trees and the aforementioned yellow grass. Grass that hasn't seen the blue sky since the change years ago. A powerful bolt of lightning strikes a pillar of rock, causing the top of it to crumble and fall a good 15 feet to the ground with a heavy thud, mixing in with the rolling thunder in the background. Far off in the distance, where the lightning is most heavily concentrated, a sharp jagged mountain marks the territory of Thunder. This is a highly dangerous, hostile area where only certain Elements can handle the terrain in addition to the bad weather. Even if you can handle it, being here won't be a walk in the park.

Kiyo stood in the ravaged field, waiting for the apprentices to arrive at the designated spot. Lightning flashed overhead and was quickly followed by another strike which hit a tower to the left of him. Blinding light and then deafening cracks of thunder.
Ahh...it feels good to be back...
He had thought of telling the others where he had gone, but decided against it. Sometimes, it was just better that you don't know everything.

The flashes of Lightning didn't seem to affect her in anyway anymore. She was simply used to it by now, though it did bring a small flicker of a grin to her lips on occasion, especialy if she were the one who caused it. Hands busied with tying her hair back with a couple of bands, Rai was too busy staring at her feet to give Kiyo much of a greeting.
"...Mm." Was all she could be bothered to spit out with yet another band sticking out from between her teeth; she almost sounded annoyed. Ghost had given them a mesage from their Master earlier, informing them that Kiyo had returned and was raring to get some training done.

He looked around. Rai had shown up, but there should be more shouldn't they? Bah, he'd chew them out later. One was enough. Even if she was totally ignoring him at the moment, one was all he needed.
....righto...
Kiyo snapped his fingers and an exceptionally loud bolt of lightning crashed down in between the two of them. In that moment, he flashed up to the top of the nearest rock pillar and opened his arms, as if he were some sort of madman.
"READY TO BEGIN YOUR TRAINING?! I ASSURE YOU. YOU WILL ADD MORE THAN TEN TIMES YOUR CURRENT STRENGTH." He amplified his voice to rival the deafening booms of thunder in the sky.
He fixed his stare down on his apprentice. "So what be your answer?"

That bolt of lightning did get more of a reaction than the others. The light left an eerie glow in Rai's field of vision, making Kiyo appear no more than afuzzy smudge upon the top of the pillar. Eyes widened to breaking point, the apprentice took a few steps backwards before staring blindly up at the Master. Only gone for a short amount of time and he had turned into some crazy pyscopath. This should be fun.
"... Yay me?" Rai answered sarcasticaly, folding her arms over her chest and grining.

Kiyo smirked. He'd take that as a yes. "Then let us begin."
Effortlessly, he leaped off of the pillar and landed directly in front of Rai. "You've gotten used to your rheostats, that's great. Time for that to change." He held out his gloved hands. "Hold out your arms. This'll only take a second."

Rai continued to stare at Kiyo, all the while fiddling with her goggles hung around her neck. When he asked for her arms to be held out, she hesitated for a moment before holding out her arms, glancing at her doodled-on resisters near her elbows.
"...What're gonna do?"

Not reponding, Kiyo held his hands over the resistors and closed his eyes in concentration. As he did so, a low hum could be heard. The hum grew louder and it seemed to be resonating with the metal piece on her arms.
First there was a green spark. Then another. Then green electricity flowed between his hands and the rheostats. They glowed like a traffic light for a moment and then it all stopped. Then, Rai felt a familiar feeling. Her body becoming heavier, her breathing becoming deeper...

"Ah.. " Rai let her arms swing down to her sides, staring momentarily at where the green sparks once were. "You made them stronger... Lovely." She finished again with her sarcastic tone. Raising her hand and placing it on the opposite shoulder, Rai began swinging her arm arm, loosening up before the workout he was most likely going to put her through.

Not waiting for her response, which was probably another complaint, he dashed off. A trail of dust followed.

"wow!?" korik saw kiyo bolt off right before he could even say hi to his master? " looks like fun?" Korik bolted to moving as fast as he could to catch up to kiyo, and rai.

Rai did not expect the blonde to dart off so quickly, leaving her in a daze for a few seconds. Actions speak louder than words she told herself, grinning and shaking her head as she began her pursuit of their master. Glancing over her shoulder once she heard another farmiliar voice, Rai waved behind her back and called out to Korik.
"Hurry it up, will yah?"

I would move that post to the mountaintop if at all possible. But im not entirely sure if you have to post there first. Its master Kiyo's choice which thread you have your initiation.
