the show choir i am in is called decibelles. we are the intermediate womens choir. we are singing:

Where You Are - from the musical kiss of the spider women
Comes Love - Ella Fitzgerald
I Honestly Love you - Olivia Newton-John
I Know a Place - Petula Clark
Son of a Preacher Man -Dusty Spingfeild

i dont know all the songs the other show choirs in my school are doing but i do know that some of the songs include In the navy, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Dont stop believing, any way you want, Do you know him, Flood, shake like an earthquake, and lazy bones.

uh where doin jazz lots and lots of jazz but the songs we've done previosly are as follows ( i don't know the names of the writers sory)

the prayer
dreams of thee
bonse aba
by the rising of the moon ( or as we so affectionently call it by the risin of the moon we forget the n alot sweatdrop )
... and others i've forgotten

mens choir:
she walks in beauty
come sail away with me ... i think thats the name

womens choir:
skye boat song
jesus is a listenin

spring concert: ( the loads of jazz)
fly me to the moon
this masqurade
new york state of mind
blue skies
and others

My men's choir did that last year, too. The only thing I can think of to watch out for is vowel.

wait so there really is such thing as show choir??? cool! damn, we don't have anything good at my school.

Mission Impossible scat singing! uh... dona nobis pacem (really pretty), sing a joyful song (rah rah shish boom BLAHHH), and Chariot comin' (it's pretty, it's like swing low sweet chariot but combined with other slave-era songs). In other words, boring. BUt we did get a perfect score at contest.

I don't know what were gonna be doing next year in the top group but last year in Women's choir, we did Popular from Wicked, Lion King, Riu Riu Chiu, and a couple of other pieces. They were beginner pieces so I cant wait for next fall when Im in the top singing group to get some REALLY challenging pieces!
