I like this book called One Child by Torey Hayden. I think it is a very touching story. I also liked how I could relate to the young girl this story is about. She was six, and her mother left her on the road to head for california with her younger brother. she had been upset since then, and no one knows how to deal with her. Her father was quite abusive. This was when Torey goes to help the young girl, and show her love and compassion that she has never felt. Oh, and I am a sophomore at public High School reading American literature, currently reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. It is supposed to be really good, but I can't say much on it. The others were just interesting... Let's Leave it at that. I read One Child this year too.
